Created conversion program and several ancillary applications to migrate 50
years of insurance and financial document data from a legacy document management
system to EMC’s Documentum AppXtender solution.   Created a web-based barcode
generator application to compliment the document management system using ASP.Net
and ADO.Net.  Created a mission-critical multi-threaded console monitoring
application to move large amounts of image documents from multiple sites around
the clock.  Created a WCF web-service to be used corporately to return customer
policy data from a variety of legacy system databases.  All development was
performed using C# within Team Foundation Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2005
using Agile development methodology.
 
Sr. Software Engineer					September 2002 – October 2007
Cerner Corporation, Birmingham, Alabama

Lead designer and developer for a Practice Management Software package used by
thousands of medical offices.  Utilized detailed design specifications to create
graphical user interfaces and database stored procedures using T-SQL.   Assisted
in the conversion of over 400 SYBASE stored procedures to SQL Server 2000. 
Reduced amount of patient “no-shows” by automating appointment reminders using
TeleVox technology (RapidCall).  Created image viewer in PowerBuilder to allow
medical professionals to scan patient documents.

Integration Architect

Provided professional IT-consulting services in the Public Sector of State and
Local government.  Performed application development for 4 State Departments of
Transportation (North Dakota, Utah, Georgia, and Missouri), specifically in the
area of accounting.  Created a highly complex CRM application used by Departments
of Motor Vehicle to register and title vehicles and watercrafts.  The software
was written using PowerBuilder and Oracle 8 with over 800 database tables.


Senior Applications Specialist				May 1997 – August  1998
Greenbrier & Russell Corp (now Fijitsu), Atlanta, Georgia

Provided IT software consulting services to various Atlanta metro businesses. 
Assisted in the design and development of MCI\WorldCom’s telephone marketing
system called SMARTCALL used by more than 3,000 concurrent sales representatives
worldwide.  I also provided software development for Georgia Power and a local
medical software company.  Between assignments I assisted with recruitment and
interviewing and received Greenbrier & Russell training in Java, JBuilder,
PowerBuilder, and Data Modeling.

Systems Analyst (Contract - COMSYS)			September 1996 – May 1997
BellSouth Public,  Birmingham, Alabama

Responsible for programming enhancements, installation, and support for the Coin
Center Collection System written in OS/2, DB2.  Responsible for all production
problems and the accounting of nearly one million dollars in coin revenue per
day.  Responsible for writing UNIX Corn-Shell scripts and database scripts to
resolve issues.
