OBJECTIVE:
Currently have over 21 years experience as a programmer/analyst with 18 years
plus experience with the IBM AS400 mid-range systems using RPGII, RPGIV and
RPGLE, CL, CLLE languages and sub file processing. I also have over six years
experience in developing EDI systems utilizing Sterling Commerce EDI package and
Harbinger EDI systems. Provided hardware, software and technical support for the
IBM AS400 system. Applications supported ranged from EDI, RMS Recovery Systems,
Inventory, Financial, Insurance and Claims processing, Marcam
Maintenance/Procurement and Marcam Manufacturing /Inventory systems.

AS400 Software Developer
Aldon Change Management Administrator. This system tracks changes made to the
Computer Guidance Construction Software package (CGC) being made daily. Performed
new users set ups, new object creations entries, new programming environments for
new releases.
Involved in the creation of XML structures used to process information being
passed from web screens to RPGLE and SQLRPGLE programs. Enhancing current RPGLE
and SQLRPGLE to process XML web based information. Tools used are METADATA, XML
and eForms logic.
Maintained and upgraded client custom software programs (for 52 plus customers),
which interfaces with the CGC base software package. This entailed making custom
program and file modifications. Changes ranged from DDS, SQL Table, SQL Indexes,
DSPF, SQL Views, CLLE and RPGLE program changes.
Performed year-end changes as well as testing programs, which produce W2's for
next release of software package.
Assisted QA department for 3 years in test and correcting program modifications
made to the software package and customer specific software request. Assisted in
debugging software issues found and resolving issues. The QA department tested
all programming changes before release of software.

Performed data transfers to and from clients. Data was converted from ASCII
Text format and loaded to AS400 files then loaded to AS400 utilizing Client
Access. To send data, data output files are processed on AS400 then client access
is used to download to Excel or ASCII text format. Maintained RMS (Recovery
Management Software), IQ Query, AS400 Query, DBU software, SOQ (Save Output
Queue) software packages. Wrote custom CL, RPGIV and RPGLE program data
interfaces to process data transfers in and out of the AS400 system. Used IQ and
AS400 queries for data analysis and extraction’s.

Seven month project - Performed proof of concept to design an Gentran EDI system
which would process five or more (company owned) freight operating companies EDI
transactions through one EDI Translator located at the US Freightways corporate
headquarters located in Chicago IL.
Built all canonical application interface and work files utilizing the DB2
database on the AS400.
Designed and created all application interface programs utilizing RPGIV, RPGILE
and CL. Over 30 programs have been developed for this new system.
Designed all history DB2 data files and creating interface programs to access
and report history information based off of this information.
Designed and developing all error messaging notification utilizing email and
paging notification. Also developed a error notification process which would send
processing errors messages encountered on a remote AS400 in Pennsylvania to the
corporate AS400 in Chicago. Then the messages would be processed and sent via
email, page and cellular phone from the corporate AS400.
Designed and implemented a process to send and receive EDI information via FTP
from an AS400. This process utilized the Directory area on the AS400 to receive
FTP EDI information and outbound information was pushed to another remote
location using FTP services running on the AS400. The EDI translator used was
Premenos.
Created Documentation, utilizing WORD and Visio, for all processes designed and
developed.
Performed part time support role for EDI production issues when needed for the
Premenos and Gentran EDI systems.

Short term contract. Supporting end users on the Marcam System for 3 different
plant sites. Created reports for client auditors and end users. Reports were
generated using SQL Query an RPG. Helped in the resolution of Marcam system
issues and researched the way reports were being produced and created
documentation of report generation. Researched Report Splitter software issues
and documented procedures in producing reports. IBM AS400 system was used.

Provided project analysis and developed new EDI documents (210, 214, 846, 856,
861) for Eagle Global Logistics in Houston, Texas. Created EDI user files, DDS,
CL, RPGIV and RPGLE programs to process data for Nike, Intel, AMD, Dell, Seagate,
International Truck and Engine (Navastar), Northrop Grumman,
Xerox, Lutron Electronics, Coca Cola and Royal Caribbean. All EDI documents were
created on an AS400 using Harbinger Trusted Link as the EDI translator. Some
information received to process, was generated via Unix platform and Compass
Databases then sent to an IBM AS400 for EDI translation via FTP. Eagle Global
Logistics is an International Transportation Logistics provider. Documents
created and supported are D94A IFTMIN and ASC X12 ? 110, 210, 214, 810, 820, 846,
856 and 861.
