Accomplishments:
· Developed a remote Sign and Label printing application using MQ Series message
queues and RPG ILE. Corporate stores now have the ability to submit a request
for signs or labels to the corporate office iSeries computer. The corporate
office iSeries computer returns the correct pricing information for the store
requesting the shelf labels or signs.
· Project Leader for Merchandise Management System upgrade. Upgraded the JDA
MMS system from 4R4 to 4R5. Applied necessary changes to custom programs and
enhancements. Worked with end users on training and implementation. Project was
completed with minimal disruption to the end-users.
· Converted Accounts Receivable from JDA AR to Quick Books. Wrote programs to
create the import files needed for Quick Books to minimize rekeying data.

Accomplishments:
· Y2K Project Leader for AS400 Business software with a team of four contract
Programmer Analysts and four Senior Programmer Analysts. Enhanced approximately
2000 programs and 750 files. Project was completed on time without any
disruption to end-users.
· Project Leader for Fax System enhancement project with a team of six people
from various business units. Evaluated current fax systems and recommended and
implemented a network based fax system that integrated with Lotus Notes Email
system and automated many manual fax functions.
· IS Project Leader for initial EDI integration. Researched, recommended and
implemented Sterling Commerce Gentran software. Coordinated with Merchandising,
purchasing and IS to convert Drop Ship work orders to EDI.
· Part of a team to convert an acquired company’s software to our system. I was
responsible for converting the files for their order system, A/R and A/P.
· Enhanced order system to allow an order to be charged to a credit card
· Created a paperless system for A/R transactions. Implemented a system that
allowed credits, write-offs, refunds, transfers, and other A/R transactions to be
applied to a customers account in a timely manner.

Responsibilities included employee interviews, hiring, layoffs, reviews, and
training; delegating projects to one AS400 Programmer Analyst and one PC
Programmer Analyst; research and recommend hardware and software purchases; write
the annual business plan and budget for the IS department.
Accomplishments:
· Converted business software from a System/36 to an AS400
· Coordinated project to create BOM software for a company purchased by
Auto-Sound/Entronix
Programmer Analyst April 1991 – August 1992
Responsibilities included programming updates on existing programs; convert S/36
code to native AS400 code; write new programs in RPG400; analyze current
processes and recommend programming enhancements for current systems.
Operational duties included nightly backups, month-end processing, configure,
cable, and setup PC’s and CRT’s.
Accomplishments:
· Worked with Manager to implement T1 hook ups for three remote locations.
Remote locations were converted from a once-a-day update to on-line/real time
updates.

Programmer/Operator Sept 1990 – Nov 1990
Responsibilities included programming updates on existing RPGII Programs and
writing new programs in RPGII as requested. Also responsible for updates on
Charge Sheets using Displaywrite 36.
General Information Services
Programmer June 1987 – Dec 1989
Converted RPGII programs from a Univac BC-7 to an IBM S/36. Redesigned and
reprogrammed the Billing System in RPGII. Transferred COBOL programs from a
Burroughs system to the IBM S/36. Created enhancements to existing applications.
Also responsible for daily backups, system security, configurations, and other
operator duties.
