Functional Area Analyst 3. Work as a co-supervisor on the Cryptographic
Modernization project. Responsible for writing training manuals for various
encryption devices as well as performance analyzers that measure any devices
throughput, packet loss and latency. Settling disputes between employees as
needed. Tested T1 circuits for the transition of the Ground-based Midcourse
Defense systems from the current contractor to Defense Information Systems
Agency. As part of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Communication Network
task, was responsible for the logistics of the program. Kept track of all items
purchased by the government through inventory and hand receipts. Ensured the team
was able to deploy properly with the right software and equipment. Ensured each
tester had proper access to test sites through security and the proper DISA
directorate.
October 2004 – July 2007
Functional Area Analyst 2. Gathered Test Incident information from various test
sites via email. Unzipped files and placed into Microsoft Access database called
Test Incident Report (TIR). Export finished information into Microsoft Word and
light editing to format the document. Send document back to test sites for review
and input via the Discrepancy Review Board (DRB). Input priority set by DRB into
TIR database and various other notes taken during DRB. Operated various strategic
and tactical communications equipment on system certification tests conducted at
JITC. Testing was conducted over satellite sometimes two hops, a leased T-1 (AIN)
link and Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) utilizing various
encryption devices such as KIV-7M, KIV-7HSB, KG-194, KG-19A. Performed tasks
involving data collection, data consolidation and network coordination. These
tasks involved collecting on site data as well as data from other test sites, all
data was collected on designated data collection forms. The data from all sites
were consolidated for test reporting purposes. Network coordination efforts
involved coordination for network links. Made sure the proper equipment was in
place and the links were up, some of which was done during testing as needed.
June 2002 – October 2004
Computer Operator 1. Received DA form 3161 (request for issue or turn-in) as
government purchasing requests. Verified that information on the form was correct
and the attached documentation was supportive of the information (price quotes,
Information Technology Requests). Entered vital purchasing information into a
specially designed database used to track purchases. Received shipping
documentation to close out open orders. Contacted vendors on behalf of customer
to track orders, arrange returns and exchanges or to arrange payments. Verified
payments on credit card statements against information found in database and
physical documentation. Assisted in warehouse operations, receiving shipments and
assisting customers in their supply needs.
November 2000 – February 2002
Associate Data Entry Clerk. Operated various strategic and tactical
communications equipment on system certification tests conducted at JITC. Testing
was conducted over satellite and leased T-1 (AIN) link utilizing various switches
such as the LEN, SEN, Node center, 39D, SMU, Redcom IGX, Redcom BAM, AN/TTC-42,
SB-3865 Performed tasks involving data entry and verification process. This
process included entering test data and verifying output against actual data
collection forms to be sure of accuracy. Duties included collecting and
organizing raw test data; setting up equipment; taking inventory of equipment,
entering data into SITT database, entering data into Excel spreadsheet and light
problem solving.
