WORK EXPERIENCE

University of Central Florida,       			    GTA Aug 2005- Aug 2006
I assisted two undergraduate courses, C Programming and Introduction to Computer
Science, as GTA in department of Computer Science at University of Central
Florida. I worked during summer in CS Support group and help maintain the systems
running in the department and provided services to the faculty and in graduate
research student labs.  

Palmchip Corporation, Pakistan	                    Software Engineer Oct 04 –
Aug 05
I worked on development of PCMCIA Host Driver for CP-200 chip to provide PCMCIA
interface to Wireless Card. I designed and implemented Socket Services Layer of
Host Driver and then worked on integrating it with PCMCIA Card Services package
to port the Wireless Card device driver. I worked on Video Processing Encoder
Group with Streaming Networks. My responsibility was resolving video-encoding
application related issues for project SNTV (Streaming Networks Next Generation
Television).

Communication Enabling Technologies, Pakistan          Test Engineer June - Sept
04  
I was associated with System Test Group at Communication Enabling Technologies
and worked on the Project Video Port Replicator. My responsibilities was
designing and conducting test cases for product components: Quartics Video Device
Driver (QVDD) and Top Level Application TLA. I was also involved in verifying
product for release, beta version, with testing and managing bug tracking system
(Test Track Pro).  [Company Dissolved]

I studied on Split PhD Scholarship in MS program in Computer Engineering at
Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering, Pakistan.

May 03
I worked on the development, testing, and documentation of System Software for
Embedded USB OTG (On The Go) Processor.  My part on this project was to develop
software libraries for OTG-USB which resides on OKI Arm System Processor to
interface with Target USB devices which includes the device enumeration, and user
driver that handles user request. The development environment used was ARM
Developer Suite.

Worked with a team involved in the design and implementation of the computerized
MCQ’s Paper marking system. I was involved in the design and implementation of
the system as well as documentation of the product.

Developed a translator that converts Relational algebra statements to SQL.   
Dynamically detecting and eliminating dead instruction, introduced by optimizing
compilers, for performance enhancement. 
Study of Privacy Preserving Data mining techniques, study of issues and
requirements to support continuous queries over data streams.
Digital Watermarking for Copyright Protection. To protect digital information
(images) against illegal duplication and manipulation.  The protected information
is made resilient  to  different image processing attacks. 
Security enabled protected document system.
Analysis of Phishing attacks, characterize it help aid recognizing new attacks
and formulate prevention strategies for future attacks.
Netflix,  improving movie recommendations of an on-line movie rental provider. 
Demonstrate load balancing capability for auto configurable/deployable Xen
server.
Optimizing Blind Equalizer for C55 Processor
