December 1988 – March 2004
Progressive Resources Inc.
• Siemens Ultrasound
Successfully created a set of online load center reports running on PI-Open This
enabled management to monitor and react to production challenges quickly.
Successfully maintained the legacy manufacturing software named MADIC/Compufac.
Converted data from multi-value to flat SQL type formatted data.
Completed set of template driven data conversion programs to move MV data to
SAP.
Successfully reviewed several project management packages including Project
Workbench and Microsoft Project.
Delivered a project proposal, detail design, and test plan to senior management.
• Insulate Industries
On contract I successfully created a system that enabled Insulate Industries’
management to track report on the manufacture of multi pained window products.
Designed multiple data entry and query pages pursuant to management’s need for
information. Query screen created allowed any user to enter a job number, load
center, or or part number and find its location on the shop floor.
I significantly contributed to the search for a viable customer service package
including Vantive. This was a Pick site who converted to Universe. Customer
service was provided with a number of query screens making this possible.
• Air Container Transport
While on contract with ACT, I wrote a complete computer system to track the
movement of containers being transported from one airport to a number of others.
The freight consisted of both perishable and long-lived goods. Because the system
was written from scratch, I was able to create “Perfect Code” This was a Pick
site.
• Aerojet General (Now Gencorp)
While on contract with Aerojet General wrote implemented and documented a
computer system that allowed supervisors to manage and report on the many toxic
substances that were produced as a byproduct of production processes.
This was a Department of Defense Company.
This was a Prime Information / Revelation site.
• CMB Industries Fresno, CA
While on contract with CMB, wrote enhancements to the software package MADIC in
order to better manage the communication between CMB and their customers. This
software allowed customers who were waiting delivery of products manufactured by
CMB to track when products would be ready for delivery. This was a Prime
Information site. Don Gable, IS Manager
October 1987 – August 1988
• Paperbenders Sacramento, CA
While on a one year contract with Paperbenders, a Sacramento based Bindery
Company I wrote a system to plan organize and control work being accomplished in
order to make products ready for market. This was a Pick site.
January 1985 – October 1987
• UOP Mc George School of Law – Systems Analyst
As an employee of Mc George, I wrote many systems that helped manage student’s
path in their training to become layers. In addition, I successfully created a
system that improved alumni giving by four hundred percent. In a system named
Mail Call, former students were grouped based upon their demonstrated willingness
to contribute to the general fund in the past.
Upon implementation of the system, a total alumnus giving was improved from
under one hundred thousand to four hundred thousand dollars.
In addition, I wrote several packages for the business office that improved the
throughput of accounts payable as well as accounts receivable. This was a pick
site.
June 1983 – Jan 1985
• Zycon - Manufacturing Engineer As an employee of Zycon
Successfuly modified the source code of John Brandon’s Compu-Sheet allowing it
to run on PRIME INFORMATION. This made Compu-Sheet terminal independent.
Created a set of simple routines that made Compu-Sheet able to reach directly
into the database. Furthermore, I then wrote a set of routines that allowed for
the Compu-Sheet data to drive an HP plotter creating color pie and bar charts. In
addition, I used the Compu-Sheet software to improve the throughput tracking of
individual work centers. The most significant improvement that I programmed was
a weekly set of thru-put reports. Each department would report each completed
job by issuing a “move ticket”. Each move ticket was then submitted to the data
center. This would then be entered into the system. My set of programs would
consolidate all of the weekly move tickets into a package of progress reports.
These reports were exceptionally easy to read and greatly coveted. This was a
Pick site.
