maintaining the complete prescription web site.

MIMRx.Com (web site)
	
An Online drug store helping customers in buying both prescription and
non-prescription drugs. Not only does it process new prescriptions but also shows
their refills online with automatic processing of refills.  Online shopping cart
with discounts and coupons is implemented for non-prescription drugs.  Automatic
order confirmation email is sent out for non-prescription orders. Also customers
can check the status of their orders online.  

Major activities

•	Designed the complete database in Sql Server 7.0 for the web site.
•	Developed the MIMRx.dll in MS-Visual Basic 6.0 by identifying the different
class modules and their various methods used for all possible database
interactions. 
•	Designed and developed the web pages using ASP 3.0 which will access the
database using the MIMRx.dll. Dll is registered through Microsoft Transaction
Server (MTS)
•	Implemented Mail functionality using Collaborative Data Objects.
•	Performance tuned the complete application.

PBO (Prescription BackOffice)				    

All prescription orders placed through the web site is processed through this
application. Whenever there is a change in status of the order an email is sent
out to the customer .As soon as the refill prescriptions are processed, this
information get automatically stored in the database along with next available
fill, and a new refill order is created whenever it is due.  Also all processed
prescription data is taken to the Informix database for billing by finance and
also to the OLAP server for use by management.  A Decision support system
comprising of all management reports is available through the company intranet.

•	Designed and developed this application using ASP, VBScript, Javascript.
•	Used ADO to extensively access the Sql Server 7.0 database.
•	Written stored procedures in Sybase and Sql Server for automatic order
creation and sending out emails to customer using xp_sendmail functionality. Also
for populating the Informix database for billing by Finance.
•	Automated all the processes to run daily using Data Transformation Services
(DTS) in Sql server.
•	Designed the Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) server database for
management reporting.

AOP (Ask Our Pharmacist)

This application is used by the pharmacists for responding back to the various
questions asked by the customers through the web site. It list all the questions
that are open in a general queue and any pharmacist can pick up a question that
he wants to respond to, which is then removed from the general queue and moved to
the personal queue of the pharmacist. One pharmacist can ask another pharmacist
for advice. Finally the response email goes to the customer.

RMS (Resource Management System)

RMS is a web based application aimed at allowing employees of NovaSoft to enter
details of Consultants working for them. Consultant Information Sheet (CIS)
captures personal, technical and current project details of a consultant. The
resume is also uploaded to the Web server along with the form using the Caprock
ActiveX DLL. Their project status can be maintained through the History form. A
query screen will give a list of all the consultants based on different search
criterion like primary skill-set ,experience, availability etc. Thus a Novasoft
employee located anywhere in the world can enter the information that will be
captured in the company’s centralized database (SQL Server 7.0) 

This application is developed using Visual Interdev 6.0 using ASP 2.0 and
JavaScript for doing the front-end validations. Back end database interaction is
done using ADO 2.0 Queries and reports are designed using Cold Fusion 4.0.  The
file uploading to the web server is done using Caprock ActiveX object.

Electronic Transfer Scheme (ETS)					        Jan'96 – Jun’99

This is a web based application aimed at allowing exporters to transfer their
export quota to other exporters. The exporter can access the AEPC web site and
log into the system using an authorized exporter-id/password. The exporter
wanting to sell his quota can place his offer through the offer form and the one
wanting to buy the quota can fill in the request form. The matching of offers and
requests takes place at the central database server running Enterprise Oracle
8.0. The next day the exporters can view the status of their quota transfers by
using the query module built into the system. 

This application is developed using Visual Interdev 6.0 using ASP on IIS 4.0.
Client side validations were done using JavaScript. The Oracle 8.0 database
running on HP-Unix is accessed using ADO 2.0.

Electronic Transfer Scheme/ Electronic Data Interchange	       May’98 – Dec’99
As a Project Leader was responsible for Systems Requirement specification,
Design, Development, Testing, Implementation and performance tuning of the ETS
system. User Interface was developed using Forms 5.0 and Reports 3.0. Backend
processing procedures done using PL/SQL, Pro *C and Unix Scripts. Also
responsible for database creation and sizing at all the 12 locations and the
Central location. Also implemented security aspects of the ETS/EDI system using
roles and auditing features of oracle.  Created procedures for automated
replication between regional and central location using dblinks, snapshots and
Unix scripts.

The exporters opting for EDI can dial-in to the AEPC regional server by using a
remote access server (RAS) located at the AEPC regional office. Also the Central
database was connected with Customs database for Electronic data interchange
(EDI) using Vsat links.

In the distributed setup each regional office and the Head Office of AEPC has a
LAN with  HP 9000, RISC based server running Oracle 8.0 Enterprise version. The
client machines are running the client software developed in D2K (Rel.2). These
LANs are connected via a shared VSAT network to each other. Data replication
between the central and regional servers is automated through these links.

As a Team Leader was responsible for Systems Requirement specification of the
Services billing module. Was also responsible for Design, development and

•	Backend processing procedures written in PL/SQL, Pro *C and Unix Scripts. 
•	Automated downloading of Usage data from NMS to the oracle database was done
using Unix scripts and the loading using sqlloader and pro *C
•	Optimizing the application for best performance over Vsat links.
•	Automated Month end Purging procedures for managing the size of the database.
Comnet Information system is an integrated commercial application which
automates the complete business process for the Organization. Actual utilization
on the Vsat network for both data and voice is reported by the NMS, and is loaded
into the Oracle database. The customer is billed on the actual utilization based
on his billing cycle.

As a Team Member she was responsible for Designing and development using ‘C’
with Indexed Sequential data files (ISAM). Also automated the complete process of
downloading the massive data from the Network management system to the central
Unix server using Adv. Unix shell scripting and the facilities available in Cron.

Vsat services and usage billing software captures the data and voice calls made
by all the Vsats hooked to the STM network. It helps the customer engineers in
doing bandwidth analysis on the basis of Peak utilization done every hour by all
the sites against the allocated bandwidth. It also caters to the billing on
actual usage done by various sites.

Vsat Call Clearing Utility 						         Mar'96 - Sep'96
As a Team Member  developed this utility in ‘C’ using the features available in
Procomm communication software. This software running on the inbound console of
the Network control unit, captured all active voice calls. This utility
identified the invalid calls between sites based on the status given in the voice
console log and then clearing it by transferring the status back to Procomm.
Successfully implemented this facility for the customer, which was not a feature
available with NMS.

by inbound console of the Network control unit.

As a Team Member developed this utility in ‘C’ using the features available in
Procomm communication software as interface and connecting to the Diagnostic
console of the Vsat and capturing the Burst length to calculate the bandwidth.

Uptime Analysis of all Vsats in the Network                                     
   Mar'96 - Sep'96
As a team member developed this utility in UNIX using the Adv. shell programming
which automatically downloaded the events log from the Network management station
to the Unix server and calculated the Uptime, downtime and Error statistics of
all the Vsats monitored by the Central Network control unit.
Automated Calculation of the uptime, downtime and error statistics of all the
Vsats connected to the Central Network monitoring unit based on the daily events
log generated by the Network management station.
