Created an application for viewing proprietary data, using JAI to create the
images, allowing users to read, write, and edit notes about individual data
elements. Data is read from a legacy core library using JNI routines. Custom
routines in C++ convert the existing data to an XML format for parsing into Java
objects using a Struts Digester. Notes are read and stored directly to an Oracle
database, as they had to be accessed by both an intranet application and console
applications across multiple platforms.
Responsible for the design and implementation of an Intranet application used to
view jobs running on multiple machines (using LSF and LSF Active Cluster).
Application was built heavily on Java Servlets, using Struts, and an Oracle
database. Servlets, using JDBC, obtain status information via database tables
that are filled in by a server. They also fill in specific fields letting the
server know when jobs should be run, canceled, or moved within a queue. In
charge of overseeing all work done by the team on the Intranet portion of the
project. Completed extensive training in .NET for major rewrite of core code.
