Overview
Accumulation Rule application was developed for business users to maintain
Accumulation Rules and corresponding HIPAA segments for Health Benefits.
Accumulation Rules are used to calculate health benefits. Business users needed
an application that could help them to add/delete/modify accumulation rules. Also
they required to view the line descriptions associated with accumulation rules.
Requirements also included allowing of adding/deleting/editing of HIPAA segments
related to accumulation rules. A web application was developed using ASP.NET2.0,
C#, AJAX.NET, JavaScript.

Overview
Client Index Updater is an application in C++ that parsed huge XML files and
updated database while applying appropriate business logic. Since the performance
of the application degraded it was migrated to .NET.  The complete application
was redesigned for performance enhancement. It used a windows service, MSMQ and
class libraries to read huge xml files (containing Contract and Group
information), breaking them into single contract/group node and loading MSMQ with
theses contract and group messages. Another engine continuously listening to
these queues, processed theses messages and updated the database while applying
appropriate business rules.
