Litepoint, Senior Software QA Engineer, April 2008 to April 2009. 
Responsible for software quality of software products in the IQsignal product
line and dotted line responsibility to development. Developing automation and
software builds, writing test plans for several wireless test products and the
application software (GUI and API). Created thousands of test cases for wireless
application interface. Created software builds with Visual Studio and Install
Shield. Developed automation test cases with C# and Python and execution of API
test cases with C++. Familiar with AutoIT for automation testing of GUI. Setup of
test infrastructure and generated test reports for software QA. Worked in the
wireless test equipment field (Wi-Fi, WiMAX, 802.11n (MIMO), Bluetooth, and GPS).
Using CVS versioning, Jira bug tracking, and Confluence wiki tools. 



Devicescape Software, Inc. Senior Software QA Engineer August 2007 to April
2008. Responsible for software quality of software products in the Professional
Services business unit and dotted line responsibility to Software QA group.
Developing Test Plans and Test Cases for Cellular and Wi-Fi products. Testing a
wireless supplicant (wpa_supplicant). Testing Cisco CCX. Testing Wi-Fi Alliance
WPA2/WPA. Testing EAP methods; TLS, TTLS, FAST, etc. Creating deterministic
methods for testing roaming and other test cases. Automation test cases using TAS
automation system. Writing test cases for wireless connect clients. Purchased
test equipment including Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access Points, test
equipment, etc. Developed a wireless relay controller that attenuates RF signal

Microsoft and Ixia traffic generators. Software testing. Writing Test Plans (and

applications. Writing automation scripts using Visual Basic, Expect. Performance
testing with LINUX using FTP, Samba (CIFS), and IPerf. Tested embedded, networked

Proxim Wireless Networks, System Test Engineer, Oct 2000 to Feb 2006. --
Software testing of wireless networking technologies. Developed and reviewed Test
Plans for: performance testing at layer 2-3 and layer 4-7, wireless networks;
including WIFI and WIMAX, network protocols, and network management (HTTP/GUI,
CLI, and SNMP). 



Writing automation scripts to automate Spirent SmartFlow and Smart API
performance testing. Developed Expect scripts to automate changes to a device’s
configuration during performance tests. Developed other Expect scripts to assist
testing process. Developed a RF Relay test that cycles/changes RF attenuation,
using Visual Basic and extended it to an AC Relay test that changes AC current
(on/off). Automated reporting and charting for performance testing, using Visual
Basic for Applications (VBA). 



Evaluated and acquired test equipment that improved the overall test suite.
Assisted in implementing a bug tracking software system. Configured and built
system software. Setup up test networks (WAN, VLAN, LAN). Tested embedded,
networked software and network management applications on WindRiver VXWorks,
Microsoft OS, LINUX OS’s, Java, HTML. Proficient with the following: Microsoft
Visual Basic, VBA/Excel, TCL/Expect, Spirent SmartBits (SmartVoIPQoS, SmartFlow,

Honeywell-measurex, Systems Tester, July 1995 to Oct 2000. -- Setup tests per
engineering requests. Improved the test procedures by creating test cases for
Industrial application software. Created tests using tools such as Visual Basic
and LabView. Configured and built system software for Honeywell Industrial
Controls, Alcont Controllers, Measurex Controls, and Honeywell-measurex
Industrial Sensors. Setup DHCP, Web, FTP, and other servers using Windows and
UNIX platforms. Evaluated and acquired test equipment that improved testing
process. Worked in a System Test and Integration department and assisted in
implementing engineering custom designs. 



AEG/Westinghouse, MSA and Octel, Contract Tester, Aug 1991 to July 1995. --
Testing of software functionality and electronic equipment. Configuration and
setup of system software. Created tests to verify software functionality. Used
various test equipment and tested both software and hardware in several different
fields. Worked with both Engineering and Test groups.
