SELECTED PROJECTS
University of California, Riverside Aug 2009-present
• Design and development of a Eco-driving aid that reads vehicle parameters via
OBD and gives second by second fuel rate, MPG, CO2, HC and NOx emissions to the
driver.
• Touch screen based multithreaded application is developed for both Win32 and
embedded Linux platform using C++/CLI and native C++ respectively.
• Two worker threads, one thread for communicating with the ECU and reading data
stream from the ECU and the other thread for performing complex calculations on
the ECU data stream are developed.
• A third thread takes the data from the worker threads to update the graphical
objects on the screen.
University of California, Riverside Aug 2009-Present
• Developed a plugin in C++ for the paramics, to modify the default behavior of
the vehicle in the paramics modeler.
• The behavior of the vehicle is modified to take advantage of the advanced
signal timing information along the arterials, such that the fuel consumption and
emissions are minimized.
University of California, Riverside, GEM Power ltd and Boeing Corporation
Feb 2009-July 2009
• Design and development of a test platform that estimates the health of an
aircraft battery based on the current and voltage transient response under load.
• The test platform is developed using the microcontroller HC12 and the software
is developed in C.
• Program is written in C to sample voltage and current every 1Sec and perform
calculations on the second by second data to estimate the health of the battery.
• The transient response and the performance of the battery are communicated to
the computer from the microcontroller using serial communication.
