Program Manager

I bring more than 10 years of experience directing engineering teams.
Successfully leading cross-functional teams with diverse technical backgrounds to
target timelines. Direct involvement in productization of key end-user products
for Nortel Networks telecommunication and network products. Currently, I am
involved in the program management of a major subsystem of the MGV (Motorized
Ground Vehicle) program for the US Army FCS initiative at my current employer,
BAE Systems.

I am highly skilled at consensus building, crisis management, problem solving
and negotiation, as well as program issue escalation and corrective action
planning and execution. I have a strong background in business management
(managing project budgets, lifecycle management / phase transitions, negotiation
of production contracts, master planning and scheduling, implementation of cost
reduction programs, EV management), and engineering support. 

I possess a proven ability to acquire new skills and technical knowledge quickly
and proficiently. My early career experience as a manufacturing engineer along
with my many years of program management makes me a highly effective and
influential member of any project team.

Professional Experience

BAE Systems, Santa Clara 2008- Present
Program Manager
Key program manager for the Hardware and Software program management efforts for
the MGV (Motorized Ground Vehicle) propulsion, armor and suspension hardware
subsystems. Managed budget reviews and worked with contracts staff for hardware
and services procurement. Compiled data for analysis and distribution to
executive staff and customers. Functioned as the key customer interface for
program status communication and facilitated closure of engineering agreements
and issues for my projects. Successfully managed critical path items and
maintained a continuous and open line of communication with customer. Tracked
approx 350 subassembly items within the major project. Often called upon
throughout the organization to aid in both internal and external conflict and
issue resolution.

Self employed - Financial Planner
Started an independent Insurance and financial services company. Performed
financial wealth analysis, advised investment and savings strategies. Offered
mainstream financial products such as rollover 401K, IRAs, Keoghs, Life

certifications.

Successfully managed several NPI development teams to target timelines which
consisted of a broad set of disciplines such as product management, marketing,
hardware and software engineering, customer service and operations personnel.
There were a wide variety of projects involving system and board level products,
software maintenance and major releases which enabled rapid model upgrades making
Nortel Networks the top supplier of switching modules   “ Centillion EtherSpeed
Modules  „ . Proudly a member of an elite team of program managers to create the
