variety of projects, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting multi-axis complex
factory automation equipment prototypes.
Projects included:
Assembly, testing and helped installion of complex 4ft x 4ft pneumatic End
Effector on a large Kuka pallet-loader robot (capable of handling 600 lb.
payloads).
Multi-robot System with three robots; one two-axis, one 4-axis, and one
single-axis. System Loads disks from cassettes into a pallet for sputtering.
Includes rotating theta Axis with four mandrels for loading/unloading disks. Also
performed particle testing of subsystems in a mini-cleanroom environment test
chamber.
Assembly of complex End Effector for handling disk drive platter disks in
robotic system for moving disks to and from ten Read-Write testers.
* Performed on-site training at factory in Malaysia.
* Performed on-site training at customer facility in Singapore.

7/2005 - 3/2006
Reflectivity Sunnyvale, CA
Electronics Engineering Technician
Contract Engineering Tech for Ryzen Solutions; assembling, testing and
troubleshooting complex Test machines with little or no supervision. Working from
schematics that often were "in progress", worked with one team partner to build
machines used in the manufacture and testing of DLP chips (micro-mirror array
video chip) used in high resolution projectors. Machines built included a process
chamber machine, a chip sealing machine, a three axis chip inspection machine
that utilized an x/y stage to position devices underneath an inspection camera
equipped with a z-axis stage for focus. Also completed machine that performs Fast
Array Optical testing to cycle microscopic mirror arrays while performing dynamic
electrical testing. Two each of four different machines were built, one to remain
onsite and the second to ship to Production Fab in Taiwan. Duties included
identifying documentation issues or errors and making corrections as needed.
Motion control systems includes AC servo motors and microstepping dc steppers.
Assembly was all-inclusive, from mounting hardware
in bare chassis to building wire and cable harnesses.
1/2003 - 10/2004
Onsite Engineering

Electronics Engineering Technician
Contract Engineering Technician; Rehired by Applied Materials; Santa Clara, CA
as Contractor to complete three Reliability Test Fixtures. Completed Electrical
wiring, Mechanical assembly and Software development; identified S/W issues in
s/w created by prev. group. Created QBasic program for Motion Control and Analog
/ Dig. I/O Sensor Feedback via DeviceNet and save cycle-count & realtime sensor
data to file. Custom configured several PC's for Test-Fixture H/W control.
Adapted in house surplus hardware to monitor & capture real-time data and control
Test Fixture H/W. Completed assignment 'on time' (in 6 wks); All three fixtures
were fully operational (including fixture running on my S/W). Contract was
renewed several times and ended on 10/1/04
