Responsibilities include answering radio calls for service as well as providing
excellent customer service to the residents and visitors within the City of
Laguna Beach. Trained in search and seizure, weaponless defense, handgun and
shotgun combat, verbal judo, emergency vehicle operation, crowd control, internal
affairs, contract negotiations and dignitary protection. Testified as an expert
witness in numerous criminal and civil cases. As a traffic training officer I
trained new officers in all aspects of traffic collision investigation, including
Total Station, RADAR, LIDAR and Computer Aided Diagramming. I personally
investigated hundreds of collisions, ranging from non-injury to multi-fatalities.
I also served in the capacity as President and Vice President of the Laguna Beach
Police Association from 2002 to 2005. Five service awards were issued.

Worked in the North County Correctional Facility which is a maximum security
jail. Monitored movement of high profile, dangerous, and newsworthy inmates.
Member of the facility Emergency Response Team. This team handled all major
disturbances within the facility including the largest jail riot in Los Angeles
County history. In 1995 I transferred to the Los Angeles County Court House. I
escorted high profile inmates to their particular courtroom and maintained
courtroom security. I also escorted high profile celebrities to and from
courtrooms for civil and criminal trials.
