ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Secure data aggregation in wireless sensor networks - Designed and
implemented in C, secure data aggregation and rogue-detection model in WSN based
on a heuristic approach using OPNET.
Spider Implemented a web crawler in Perl to search and retrieve webpages
based on keywords and page rank.
Exam scheduling algorithm - Implemented in C, the algorithm reduces to graph
coloring. The output of the project generates exams for a set of students,
creates data structures to store conflicts and employs a heuristic scheduling
procedure to decide when each exam should be scheduled to avoid conflicts.
Obfuscator Designed & implemented in C++ an obfuscator to highlight and
exploit the inherent limitations for protecting a software implementation and how
third party software can introduce vulnerabilities into the system and assess
them.
Port scan detector Implemented in C, the detector scans ports to detect
security vulnerabilities analyzing TCP, UDP, ICMP, IGMP packets and to recognize
attacks such as TCP SYN, TCP connect, UDP scan and stealth FIN scan.
Knowledge discovery & data cup - Implemented data mining techniques like
neural networks, regression, and classification using WEKA while predicting the
missing radioactive degradation rates for a dataset of real time degradation rate
for various chemical elements.
Presented papers on Network Forensics, Denial of Service attacks and Web
Service reliability.
