	Serve an Oracle DBA in the IBM remote services division. Responsibilities

•	Maintenance and Support of a number of high profile business critical
enterprise databases on a 7/24/256 basis for various clients of IBM. Databases
included RAC as well as non-RAC.
•	Performing upgrades to DBMS software.
•	Backup and Recovery operations including setting up and troubleshooting of
RMAN jobs, monitoring backups, restores and recoveries, exports and imports etc.
Use of Datapump. 
•	Setting up and maintenance of Logical and Physical Standby Databases,
Dataguard, failover architecture.
•	Applying Oracle critical security updates/patches.
•	Cloning and Refreshing of Oracle databases periodically and on demand.

AWR, Statspack, OEM etc.
