planning, human resources systems implementation, HR/risk management auditing &
compliance, management development and leadership coaching.
Selected Accomplishments
* Identified/implement recruiting and onboarding improvements for a medical
company with 24 units; leading to DFEH/EEOC compliance, more than a dozen new
candidate sources (many at no cost), and ultimately improving
recruiting/onboarding outcomes; reducing employee stress/frustration and saving
conservatively 12K per year for a 1.5 FTE recruiting team.
* Assisted a hotel management company to avoid potential wrongful termination
lawsuits or a NLRB case in a department walk-out situation. Met with each
employee individually and negotiated a resignation with a quid pro quo.

participants to gain self-awareness, create a personal vision, set goals and work
to realize new objectives through higher levels of focus, self-discipline and
time management. Participants reported new levels of focus, productivity, and
motivation at the end of the six-week self-improvement seminar.

Director of Human Resources
Hired to develop a human resources effort for a growing hotel management &
development company with 12 units in Arizona & California, including union &
non-union employees and corporate staff. Company was challenged with lawsuits,
wage & hours complaints, and high management turnover.
Selected Accomplishments
* Reduced General Manager turnover from 50% to 0%, for a period of 1.5 years by
creating higher levels of support, confidence and job satisfaction; which
stabilized the operating hotels, and ultimately improving hotel guest service and
business profitability.
* Implemented a technically advanced, compliant and flexible time & attendance
system; management training programs, and crucial standard operating procedures
that resulted in a 100% reduction of wage & hours, discrimination, and sexual
harassment claims.
* Developed and facilitated an organizational development intervention, then
instituted communication processes that resulted in a heightened operations
focus, a noticeable increased level of teamwork between geographically separated
locations, and a measurable increase in hotel general manager job satisfaction
and engagement.
* Instituted multi-lingual communication solution that established company
identity internally-including rewarding and reinforcing team efforts when
objectives were met or exceeded. This resulted in new levels of understanding of
company objectives and further solidified company loyalty as observed on employee
opinion surveys conducted semi-annually.
