changes or enhancements pertaining to Canadian operations (order processing,
manufacturing, warhousing , distribution, and billing).

• Member of Project Development team responsible for analysis, functional specs,
technical specs, programming, and unit testing of the following modules of an ‘in
house’ Steel Processing systems in an AS/400 environment:
Sales Gross Margin exception alerts and reporting.
This system alerted sales reps of customer orders that did not fall within
specified gross margin parameters allowing them to react before the product was
shipped and invoiced.
Foreign Exchange Contracts
This system tracks the availability and use of foreign exchange contract
monies allowing the user to apply the most advantageous exchange rate or the
current spot rate to purchase orders from foreign suppliers.
Order Processing Error proofing with Customer Part Validation
Products ordered are verified against material specifications previously
supplied by the customer to ensure the correct raw materials are used in
fabricating/filling of their orders. This resulted in thousands of dollars in
savings by reducing the number of returns and thus credit note processing.

of an ‘in house’ Steel Processing system on an AS/400.

ICI Paints, February 2002 – December 2003
• Senior Programmer / Analyst
• Design, Document and program a new interface between their EPIC point of sale
system and BPCS. This system uploaded all daily ‘Color your World’ and ‘ICI
Paint’ store sales, and orders data to the BPCS system on the AS/400. This
interface was required because all ICI’s I.T. processing was migrated from a Unix
based system to BPCS on the AS/400.
• Design, Document and Program a POS Daily Sales reporting system for Sales
reps. on the road. Sales reps required daily reporting to be available for
downloading to their lap tops.
• New programs were coded in RPG 400, existing programs requiring modifications
were coded in RPG III or COBOL.
Alcan Foil Products, August 1995 – April 2001
• Senior Programmer / Analyst
• Reporting to the Systems Development Manager I was the Lead and Mentor to 4
programmer/analysts in all aspects of analysis, design, specifications,
programming, testing and implementation of the following BPCS projects. Modules
involved were Supply Chain management, Inventory Control ,A/P, Costing, Pricing,
and Purchasing
• Convert Sy/36 BPCS 4.1 to AS400 BPCS 5.0.1.
• Re-write all “Custom” Sy/36 systems for AS/400. The major modules converted
included Sales, Forecasting , and A/R,
• Upgrade BPCS 5.0.1 to version 6.0.04 Mixed Mode to take advantage of current
technology and Y2K dating.
• Modify all integrated “Custom” systems to BPCS 6.0.04 compatibility.
• Replace the warehouse inventory, PC driven Barcode RF system and RJE
interface, with an on-line RF system driven by BPCS to achieve “Real Time”
processing. This involved cloning parts of the BPCS interactive Inventory
update program into another program dedicated and limited to warehouse inventory
movements.
• Replace BPCS financial systems with interfaces to Corporate Head Office Oracle
Financials.
• Convert and implement the U.S. subsidiary of Alcan from an ‘in-house’ Sys/36
system to BPCS 6.0.01 by making it a second company on the Canadian AS/400.
• Microsoft Word and Excel used for Documentation, Programs coded in RPG400.

Revlon, January 1995 – July 1995
• Programmer / Analyst
• Implement a Radio Frequency manufacturing/warehouse control system integrated
with AS400 BPCS to direct and track product movement from Receiving through
Quality Control, Inventory, Manufacturing (wip), Finished Goods Inventory, to
shipping. The warehouse personal used the system to determine not only the
inventory location but also their next inventory movement operation.
