As an ETL Lead Consultant I am involved in the design and development of various
data marts that enhance decision support for client’s products and services in
the State of Vermont. Leading a team of 4 ETL developers, I designed and
engineered a scalable, optimized and atomic grained dimensional model and
integrated various data sources into consolidated data marts via conformed SCD
Type 2 dimensions and fact-less facts. Designed and developed the transformation
process for data cleansing, enforcing complex business rules, de-duplication,
surrogate key generation, aggregations and integration. Conducted triages and
training sessions for ETL and BI developers.

RBC Insurance’s Program NEXUS began in September 2004 with a strategic vision
and scope to transform the RBC Life & Health Insurance Business and to repatriate
the business data from the UnumProvident systems residing in the U.S. The
Implementation was planned to occur in 3 releases and there are nine projects
within Program NEXUS that are necessary to enable the Living Benefits New
Business platform and the UnumProvident conversion. As a Sr. ETL Developer,
supported and troubleshot ETL Batches in four iQA environments consisting of 150
jobs each for converting 4 million policies per cycle and developed SQL stored
procedures and scripts for ETL Batch control, redesigned and tuned ETL jobs with
up to 93.3% performance gain and fixed over 200 bugs in the existing ETL jobs to
ensure data quality and smooth execution runs.

The Long Term Care Homes Common Assessment Project (LTCH CAP) is sponsored by
the Continuing Care e-Health Council and is supported by the Ministry of Health
and Long Term Care in the province of Ontario, to facilitate the implementation
of new standards for assessing residents of Long Term Care Homes in the Province.
Common assessment is widely recognized as a key enabler of quality care through
the collection of assessment information in a standardized way. The scope is to
implement a robust analytical layer for various operational database systems used
in different spheres of Long Term Care. As a Datawarehouse Engineer, I researched
and outlined the pros and cons of various data warehouse implementation
approaches, documented and presented the various stages, processes and
architectural components to the solutions architect and team members.
