3D Geometric Modeling Software Manufacturer.  Primary responsibilities included
converting developer’s c++ and Scheme code comments into coherent, formatted, and
published documentation.  Scheme documentation included creating, manipulating,
and testing the ACIS geometric modeler using the Scheme programming language.

04/99 – 07/99		Technical Writer	Machine Design Service, Inc. – Denver, Co.

Material handling/manufacturing, product, and service company.  Contract to
develop and install documentation infrastructure (create and install templates),
automate documentation effort (using FrameMaker), and organize documentation
department.  Created documentation queue/forecasting table using Excel.





08/96 – 12/96		Documentation Manager   Harbinger Corporation – Arlington, Tx.

EDI product and service company.  Managed documentation projects, scheduling,
and employees.  Included revamp of book cover with heavy interaction with
independent artist, printers, and distribution company.  Also began schedule for
all books to be converted to quick-reference guide format and WEB site
availability.  Began work on converting to FrameMaker to accommodate
multi-platform (mainframe, Windows, AS/400, UNIX, and NT) documentation with
single version documentation files.

Object-oriented software development company.  Managed all corporate
documentation efforts which included defining content, style manual,
documentation schedules to coincide with development forecasts, trained new
writers on FrameMaker, familiarized them with general product, and supervised
contract writers.  Created new document design and format for the object-oriented
environment.  Documentation was created through interviews, development notes,
and developer’s code.  All books were created for C and Objective C users working
on Fax, Sun, OS/2, HP, Unix, RS6000, and PC platforms.  Conducted negotiations
for copyright inclusion information.
