(CRM) system implementation for a major Telecomm for products such as DSL,
broadband, soft services, and other product-specific areas from “Offer” to
“Cash” starting with CRM and ending with downstream systems. 
 Led numerous JAD sessions related to requirements, and functional design for
the CRM system 
 Led the related software development life cycle activities and managed a
team of 15 consultants and developers
 Presented solutions to the CIO, Executive Vice President (EVP) of Networks,
and other senior executives

Kenan Billing Implementation – Functional Lead and Deployment Project Manager

 Led the Deployment of the Billing Systems for a major telecom. 
 Led the execution of billing conversion/deployment from 5 billing systems to
one new system.
 Designed and led the execution of 7 billing dry runs including 3 end-to-end
dress rehearsals involving Kenan Billing, PeopleSoft CRM, and other systems 
 Managed the efforts of over 20 team members to successfully execute the
conversion/deployment plan 
 Led the overall process design for the billing space, and was responsible
for the analysis and requirements for financial journals and taxation for the
billing system

Telecommunication Retail Point-of-Sale (POS) Implementation and Store Launch –
Project manager 
 Created a retail roadmap that outlined the short and medium term goals for
the retail organization. 
 Conducted a gap analysis between the current and future states of
operations. 
 Created system requirements for the POS software and interfacing systems. 
 Led efforts that created process designs to document the detailed business
process flows for the transactions at the retail stores and Corporate Retail
Operations. Led the creation of the M&P (Methods and Procedures) for the retail

Benchmarking Project – Project Manager 
 Led a high profile benchmarking project for a large telecom company.
Responsible for managing the collection and validation of operational metrics,
normalizing data, interviewing related process owners, and benchmarking against
other ILECs’ operational metrics. 
 The benchmarking exercise concluded with a presentation to the CIO
recommending actions to improve the operational metrics. 

1996 Telecommunications Act (Section 271) Testing Effort – Project Manager 
 Led a 1996 Telecommunications (Section 271) provisioning and billing testing
efforts
 Researched FCC and ILEC tariffs and determined their applicability to ILEC
billing, and constructed expected results including Usage,
Recurring/Nonrecurring, and One-time charges for scenarios included in the test
bed to compare them to actual results.
 Led teams that designed and executed rigorous billing and provisioning tests
for compliance with the 1996 Act 
 Provided support and guidance to test leads, test managers and testers in
matters relating to the project. Presented results of testing to ILECs and
states’ public utilities commissions and the FCC
 
Back Office Process Improvement – Project Manager 
 Led back-office process assessment for a major telecom company including
process modeling, gap analysis and risk assessment, process reengineering and
future vision. The exercise concluded with a presentation to the VP of Finance
recommending the approach which was adopted. 
 
Best Practices Training for Telecom Industry – Telecommunications Training
Lead 
 Initiated and piloted a training program geared towards the development of
best practices and methods in the area of telecom industry billing tests to
standardize testing
 Led an effort to develop a comprehensive, 4-course billing systems test
curriculum
 The total class time for the series amounted to over 20 hours. The
curriculum became the corner stone in new billing testers’ training and
development. 

BEA Enterprise Workflow Deployment – Test Manager 
 Designed and managed the end-to-end testing of a customized BEA enterprise
workflow application to drive ordering and provisioning for a major telecom
company. 
 Led a testing team of consultants throughout the requirement management,
test strategy, test plan and test script design, and system test execution. 
 His efforts led to the successful implementation of a complex application
that was delivered on time and on budget
 
IT Assessment Study and Roadmap – Subject Matter Expert and Strategy Advisor 
 Conducted a comprehensive IT organizational assessment for a Fortune 1000
company to advise the client on a five-year IT strategy. 
 Evaluated effectiveness of current applications versus the business needs in
core processes and compared them against industry standards and leading practices
for comparable industries.
 Assessed the technical structure, flexibility and possibly weaknesses in the
current business systems technical architecture.
 Identified possible application capability gaps, applications that are
candidates for replacement, and the affected business processes. Analyzed the
application development and determined the effectiveness of tools and processes

State-wide Web Based Filing System Implementation – Testing Manager 
 Designed and planned end-to-end testing of a web based filing system for a
state justice system 
 Automated test scripts using QuickTest Pro to maximize the productivity and
efficiency of the test. Also utilized other test management software such as
TestDirector, and ClearQuest. 
 The filing system was deployed and is being successfully used throughout the
