Summary: Ten years experience designing, developing and deploying n-tier,
client-server and peer-to-peer distributed computer-based systems. Extensive
experience in technical interfaces and integration.
Professional Experience:
Keystroke Technology Solutions, Senior Systems Engineer
• Designed and developed a Java Struts application for a mortgage lending
company.
Access International Financial Services, Senior Systems Engineer
• Designed and developed an XML based J2EE framework for B2B communications. The
framework implemented schema, servlet and EJB technologies. The framework was
deployed to a Websphere application server on Linux, Solaris, AIX and Windows.
• Developed code generation tools in Java to generate Java EJB’s from
PowerBuilder export files. The system used XML schemas and Castor generated Java
objects for the integration points. The EJB’s were deployed to multiple
application servers on multiple platforms including Linux, Solaris, AIX and
Windows.
• Developed a batch framework for processing daily vendor feeds. The
architecture used Java’s introspection capability to invoke custom translation
rules.
• Designed a reporting framework to report and archive required transactional
information.
Rhythms Net Connections, Enterprise Architect
• Developed a J2EE system that enabled the exchange of information between
Operational Support Systems electronically via a secure Internet connection. The
interface was defined as an XML schema. Vitria’s BusinessWare 4.x and XSL were
used to interface with COM legacy backend systems.
• Created foundation for enterprise wide frameworks including exception handling
and database resource management.
• Managed a taskforce of 4 developers. The primary goals were system
stabilization and simplification. Severity one issues declined by 95 percent,
automated flow-through provisioning and system availability doubled within a
45-day period.
• Deployed an Enterprise Monitoring System. Created the project plan, evaluated
COTS products, created custom agents and conducted GAP analysis. The monitoring
system is capable of monitoring multiple business layers such as servers (NT,
Unix, Web), network components, middleware, applications and databases.
Level (3) Communications, Senior Developer
• Propagated NPA Splits to multiple applications through a pub-sub solution
using Java, JDBC and Vitria BusinessWare 3.x.
• Helped Develop and maintain an interface between network engineering and
provisioning. The interface used equipment specific transformation rules to
transform physical equipment to functional.
Dynamics Research Corporation, Systems Analyst
• Used Object Oriented methodologies to create initial design for Colorado’s
Department of Human Services replacement for the Client Oriented Information
Network (COIN) system, which is a key component of the Colorado Benefits
Management System. The new system allowed for statewide identification as well as
sharing of information between the state and all counties.
Executive Telecard Ltd., System Engineer
• Developed a real time card validation and call record loader for Regional Bell
Company using socket connections.
• Developed large batch processes on Unix using proC and oracle PL/SQL.
• Designed and developed a Java Web based application using HTML, servlets and
JDBC’ technologies.
Interlink, Consultant
• Developed 3-tier client server automated appeals system for the Colorado
Department of Labor.
MGT Technology Group, Developer
• Created system to conduct LAN network performance analysis using Microsoft C.
Program analyzed current LAN performance and predicted performance impact of
workload and topology modifications. Performance estimates were calculated using
state-of-the-art mathematical techniques, including queuing theory and
monte-carlo simulation.
