Alice L Gilmore Sr or QA Lead/Jr Project Manager/Junior Business Analyst
[Send email to request phone number] 52-7344 ( m ) anytime email: [Send email using form at bottom]
At the beginning of November 2008, I was promoted to QA Lead. Several times I
have been told that I am really good in this position and they really hate to
lose me in the various groups due to my ability to do some project management
that we are working on. Gathering resources to get end-to-end testing
coordinated, ensuring that nothing is missed.
I have been validating data & referential integrity for multiple SQL
environments: MSSQL, Oracle versions 8i - 9i, as well as have had some experience
using OEM Oracle Enterprise Manager & SQL*Loader, administering databases and
building OLAP cubes and BrioQuery reports. I do have the ability to read & write
stored procedures as well.
I have been involved in requirements document analysis from the early stages,
providing design and requirements critiquing, using my natural ability of knowing
what customers desire.
One of the items that I highly encourage is providing documentation, which I
have done for defects, creating help files & training materials, and other
various reports, such as metrics reports for various products. I have presented
this information in PowerPoint slide and orally to executive management.
I can work independently or within a team as well. I do love a team
environment, working as one to achieve a common goal. I am more than willing to
work overtime in order to meet corporate set target dates.
Please review my experience and past education. I am continually educating
myself in Information Technology concepts, programming languages, software, etc.
Needless to say, I love challenges, a variety of duties and to learn.
Thank you,
Alice L Gilmore

Work History:
02/07 Present Position: Contractor/Sr QA 2 yr contract up 2/25/09
In November 2008, I stepped up to the QA Lead role for several portals, and
Backup Lead for several other modules. I create the following reports regularly:
Weekly: Highlights, Status/Metrics (2x for PM/Dev/Clients)
Monthly: Release Summary, Release Go/No Go (Release Status), User Guides for
Production Support/Clients
Yearly: Report summary of all accomplishments for past year and
goals/objections for current year
I participate regularly in requirement document reviews, along with design
and test plan reviews.
Currently, I have had 2 more people join my team, bring my team to 7
members. I am mentoring the new members specifically to automate the data
validation static regression test cases. We are incorporating much more
regression test cases to be automated for this year, hoping to get most of our
static data regression test cases automated as well, which should lighten some of
the workload on our team. Our team tests front-end GUI Web apps, Mobile GUI on
numerous devices (emulators and devices when available) and back-end validation
of data in various Oracle databases to cover end-to-end testing. I have written
test requirements and test cases in Test Director and in home grown testing
tools. Test cases are mostly to verify GUI functionalities, with remaining
covering data in various databases via Managed Objects, etl, jms, xml, csv and
sql files) on various platforms like Unix, Microsoft Windows.
09/06 02/07 Position: Contractor/Sr QA QA work ended
The length of this project was really undeterminable at this time. It may
last 1 month, 12 months or be a contract that is intermittent depending on the
desires of El Paso Corps clients.
I tested for a couple of groups, which had been re-written in C#.NET.
For one group, I tested the back-end, utilizing manual transferring of EDI
data files through the .NET code to validate that the results are the same as
when running them through the C++ code, using MSSQL queries in multiple domains
to gather the data necessary to run and compare data and reports using
UltraCompare.
For another group, I tested the front-end, mostly Web/GUI applications,
running through all the processes, verifying that the look, feel and results are
virtually undetectable, then validated that the reports were the same as when ran
through the C++ code, using a home-grown binary compare program.
01/05 09/06 Position: Quality Engineer left because I needed to get back
into SQL testing.
Perform manual and automated regression testing using QuickTest Pro,
incorporating VBScript to get the best results. Review Design documents; write
Test Plans & Test Cases. Test Base Web and Desktop/Console Products for the
Research and Development Department using manual and automated methods, test
installs for Web Services & Products, write Discrepancy Reports. Support the base
web and desktop products for all clients. Archive old installs. Test Web
applications on MS Internet Explorer, NetScape, and Firefox web browsers. Some
use of MS Virtual PC for testing on other OS versions.
