My name is Ronald Hill and I've been employed since 1992 in the broadcasting
industry.  I've held several positions both as part of the operations staff and
design/implementation staff of various companies.  I currently work for Omnibus
Systems in Lakewood Colorado, as a Senior Project Engineer responsible for
installation, troubleshooting, training and launch of new systems for
broadcasters.  I am seeking a full time permanent position, preferably outside my
current field that involves limited to no travel, as my current position travels
heavily. 
Experience
Senior Project Engineer, Omnibus Systems Inc., Lakewood, CO - August 2007 to
Present
Installation and configuration of Omnibus automation system components and
hardware.  
Troubleshooting of Omnibus Automation systems and interconnections with third
party devices.
On site customer support and installation, as required, to resolve system issues
(travel required).  
Technical Service Engineer - Americas, Omneon Video Networks - March 2006 to
August 2007
Installation and configuration of Omneon Video server and MediaGrid Storage
systems in various sizes and configurations.  
Installation of Snell & Wilcox encoder system and Tandberg encoder system as
part of Omneon HD bundle.  
Configuration of player/recorder configurations to support customer requirements
and specifications.  
Interfacing to various automation systems and assistance with configuring and
troubleshooting with various automation vendors.  
Completion of detailed documentation, including system drawings, configurations
worksheets and site reports on installations for Omneon and customers.  
Assist customers with recommendations on how best to use Omneon hardware to
support their requirements.  
Assisting with process documentation (implementation and deployment guide) for
Omneon hardware (pre-sales through completion of project).  
Extensive travel in the central US and Canada and occasional travel to other
regions as required (posses US passport and Brazilian visa).  
Completion of detailed expense reports related to travel expenses and home
office expenses, submission of same and reconciliation of  American Express
corporate credit account. 
Manager Automation Systems and Servers - Discovery Communications - January 2005
to March 2006
Monitor activity of Omnibus automation systems, Omneon broadcast server, and
Diva archive system status (automation and archives).
Assist automation and server vendors and integration teams to finalize
installation of systems, test and troubleshoot systems and commissioning of
broadcast systems.
Set security pass codes and group levels of access for various levels of
operation.
Extensive troubleshooting of unexpected failures in the systems that are
software and/or hardware related.
Preparatory work for writing of operator guides and technical manuals. Assist
staff training, where applicable and appropriate.
Gathering, reporting and trending data effecting operations.
Other duties as assigned by Discovery Engineering Management.
Administration, maintenance and configuration of all automation-related computer
systems and servers.
Maintenance of Omneon broadcast video server hardware and maintenance of
configurations.  
Basic administration of Archive Systems control software and systems and archive
library control systems, tape inventory, including some UNIX.  
Systems and workflow solution development.
Administration and self-teaching of SQL 2000 Database.
Administration, archiving, distribution, installation and configuration of all
automation-related software.  
On-call 24x7 support for Engineering/Operations staff. 

Education
Central Missouri State University,  Warrensburg, MO  (Fall 1992 to Spring 1994).
 Required course work for Electrical Engineering Major.  No degree obtained. 
Last semester GPA was 4.0.
East Central College, Union, MO (Fall 1991) - Required and business related
