Network Operations Engineer/Project Manager - Telecommunications Services
Day-to-day remote Administration:
• Remote support of the following systems with over 10,000 users across the
country
• Cisco Call Manager administration..
• Administration of multiplatform PBX's. Nortel (Option 11 and 61), Avaya, NEC,
Inter-Tel, and Norstar.
• Administration of multiple voicemail systems: Octel, Unity Messaging, NEC,
Definity, Meridian Mail.
Day to Day Project Management:
• PBX design and configuration for small and large office
relocations/consolidations
• Provide budget information for Telco related projects
• Negotiate contracts and billing for Telco related products.
• Design/implementation of Cisco IP Telephony Installations
• Project management for all inter/intra-office moves.
• Management of provisioning as well as general coordination with account
teams.
• Provide 3rd level support for National Helpdesk
• Provide outage support for all offices when network voice or data issues
arise.
• Coordinate and oversee Telco facilities and cabling needs
• Provide assistance to Information Technology A/P staff on researching and
resolving esoteric billing issues.
Primary projects:
• Unity migration between CB Richard Ellis and Trammell Crow Company
• Coordination of local migration on voice services between carriers.
• Cisco IPT install projects consisting of coordination, implementation,
configuration and deployment of Cisco Unified Communication Manager to remote
offices nationwide.
• Router replacement of 54 antiquated routers nationwide by coordinating efforts
to deploy hardware as well as scripting router configuration.
IPT Deployment - all IPT deployments conducted by internal IT. Deployments
include:
• Programming: Configure Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco ISR Routers, and
switches.
• Coordination: work with telephone/data providers as well as the local offices
on the service needs and scheduling. Verify adequate resources are available for
the deployment.
• Onsite activities: Arrive onsite and manage installation of new Cisco IPT
voice and data services. Services include all installation from server rooms to
the desktop along with training and interacting with personnel on first day of
service.

• Support for IP telephony via Cisco Call manager, Cisco Call Manager Express,
Cisco Unity, Cisco Unity Express, Nortel BCM 50, and BCM 400. TDM systems include
