* Negotiated outsourcing contract with Wipro within five weeks and brought in
additional engineering resources from Bangalore in three weeks.
* Led budget planning for the entire NAS division valued over $35 million per
year
* Created strategic plan and methodology for overall testing effort of two new
products utilizing current software development methodologies, improving Release
Candidate testing schedule from 24 weeks down to 12 weeks.
* Created the Enterprise NAS test automation and build team. Software build
passing rates have increased from 15% to over 75% in six months.

12/04 - 5/07 R&D Project / Program Manager: Advanced Telecom Computing
Architecture (ATCA) R&D project, requiring OEM of components from several
suppliers. OEM integration work included extensive testing and troubleshooting.
Responsible for an operating budget of over $2.7 million, a prototype budget of
$3.1 million, and over $ 1.2 million in assets, eight employees and five
technicians. Filled two program manager roles; program manager leading Firmware /
diagnostics development and program manager tracking issues and corrective action
by four external suppliers. Both roles required coordination of eight internal
groups and over 40 stakeholders. Overall program budget that was developed and
managed was $ 51 million in just under three years. System met strict Telecordia
NEBS and worldwide regulatory shipping requirements. Led outsourcing effort, with
final award made to Wipro.
* Led concurrent projects to OEM HP's bh5700, bc2100 and the bs7200 along with
new product development of the Industry Standard Server PCI Expansion blade.
8/03 - 11/04 Project Manager/Program Manager: Led all aspects of two separate IT
Support Center operations comprised of nine employees and four contractors at two
Research & Development facilities with an operating budget over $2.5 million
utilizing ITIL and ITSM service support and service delivery models. Responsible
for over $10.9 million in assets and end-to-end support. Team supported over
1,300 R&D Procter & Gamble customers. Manage Enterprise size projects within
North America.
* As project manager, led new six month $1.1 million business project to deploy
Blackberry service to P&G customers within North America.
* Earned MVP award from the P&G account. Only 100 of over 40,000 employees earn
this award every year.
Professional Experience (2000-2003 Procter & Gamble)
6/02 - 7/03 Project Manager/Development Manager: Led all aspects of IT Support
Center and local Call Center operations utilizing ITIL and ITSM service support
and service delivery models comprised of five employees and three contractors at
one Research & Development facility with an operating budget over $1.3 million.
Technologies supported included Cisco Catalyst switches, HP Pro Curve switches,
Netware, Microsoft Server, Sun workstations, SGI workstations, and IBM PC
compatible personal computers. Responsible for over $6.2 million in assets and
end-to-end support for infrastructure including servers, networking and
workstation desk-side support. Team supported over 750 R&D Procter & Gamble
customers.
* As project manager, led deployment of Service Desk 4 application to 52 plants
and sites over 600 end-users in North America. System supported over 60,000 P&G
customers. Nine month project was delivered on time and under budget of $1.5
million.
* Designed and implemented specialized lab support model to service challenging
R&D customers, receiving praise from four P&G Vice Presidents. This was the only
successful implementation of a specialized lab support model globally.
7/00 - 6/02 Systems Analyst/Call Center Manager: Managed all aspects of local
technical Call Center for Procter & Gamble's upstream R&D facility at Miami
Valley Laboratories.
* Selected by Procter & Gamble to attend Executive MBA program
* Led Technical Call Center to ranking of #1 out of 17 eight times within
Cincinnati for fiscal 2001-2002. Held #1 ranking once and #3 ranking twice within
the North Americas region out of 51 call centers during same period.
Professional Experience (1993-2000 United States Navy)
US Naval Officer: Distinguished and diverse career as Communications Officer,
Auxiliaries Officer, CIC/Operations Officer, and Department Head of Officer
Recruiting, with project and people management responsibility at all levels.
Managed the operations of a $5 million communication suite and 12 technicians as
Communications Officer. Managed a $50 million engineering plant and 21
technicians in delivering safe and efficient power and wastewater treatment. As
CIC/Operations Officer, managed the operation of 85 end-users of a high
performance LAN and led 9-month effort to be first ship to install Link-16
communications system. Made presentations to NATO commands and was a guest of the
State Department on such topics as crisis management. As Department Head of
Officer Recruiting, managed 10 recruiters and 4 administrative staff members in
engineering officer recruiting in a 3-state region. Responsible for market plan
development, strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, resource allocation,
decision-making, and policy formation.
* Earned honors as most improved program in the nation for 2000. National
ranking improved from 26 out of 31 over the previous decade to 10 out of 31 in
only nine months.
* Led 9 month effort to be the first ship in the U.S. Navy to install
revolutionary Link-16 communications system.
* Doubled preventative maintenance accomplishment to approximately 100% for the
entire year.
