Palisades Technology Partners, an IT consulting company, has committed itself
solely to Java-based technologies for many applications.
 Web-browser-based applications, ensure the identities of people who access
servers, and enable IT to develop and deploy applications and services quickly
and securely

GM has been using Sun Java Web Infrastructure Suite and Sun Java Application
Platform Suite. The company plans to extend its current portal implementation by
adding the Sun Java Identity Management Suite to maintain a secure and reliable
environment while making the user experience easier through single "sign-on,"
which decreases the need for multiple passwords

This project started in April 2004 with 5 members and currently around 120+
employees provide extensive round the clock support for their 200+ servers that
include 20+ production systems. 

The project involves the offshore support for servers in three different
landscapes – America, Europe and Asia-Pac and hence employees work 24/7 to suit
all the 3 timezones.
