IT Infrastructure  project experience includes data center relocation, web
application deployments and upgrades, account security controls, and networking

Project Manager, Oxford IT Consulting, Inc.    (6/2001 –present)

Client: Mass Mutual Financial Group   

Infrastructure project intended to enable business reporting from TPP, a third
party life policy processing application developed by Planet Soft
(http://www.planetsoft.com/policy_pro.html ).  Project objective was deployment 
of performance reporting capability utilizing both new and existing IT systems, 
including COGNOS and SAP.

•	Developed project plan to build data pathway flow from TPP through staging
tables into IIF (Insurance Information Factory) and various data stores.
•	Followed Mass Mutual QMG Project management process. Followed prescribed
processes, engaging functional teams from throughout the organization.
•	Developed and maintained financial forecast (Operational Plan), performing
monthly reconciliation of disparities between forecast and actual resource
charges. 
•	Monitored and controlled workflow according to plan. 
•	Developed mitigation strategies to accommodate unanticipated delays due to
resource constraints and work reprioritization.

Client: ING   

Surround Replacement Project.  Objective was to build a standardized 
information service platform supporting rapid business solution development
through data access enablement and reuse.

•	Lead team of Business system analysts in the development of Functional
specification documents (FSD) defining the features to be designed and built into
the new environment.
•	Developed aggressive yet achievable plan to complete FSDs for 20 features
within 6 month time frame.
•	Developed resource and cost forecast. Tracked and reported on plan vs.
actuals. 
•	Execute to plan, managing and reporting on progress to various audiences.
•	Trained in use of CLARITY Project Management tool. Served as CLARITY focal
point for the Surround project team:  Responsibilities included  creating weekly 
status, financials, time logging, end of month financial corrects, adding and
removing project resources, etc.

Client: Aetna  

Monitor, control, and report on finances for WCC Environmental Consolidation
Project. Project involved approximately 300 SMEs (subject matter experts), 105
business critical applications, and 4 Domain Project Managers, with a budget of
approximately $8M. Identified and reported on discrepancies between hours billed
by technical teams and completion of project tasks. Assisted DPMs in resolution
of identified problems as requested. 

•	Run, balance, and analyze financial reports generated utilizing Planview,
Crystal Reports, and numerous Excel spreadsheet reports.
•	Prepare and present application project scorecard at weekly L1 core team
meeting
•	Manage and facilitate all application detailed analysis work sessions

Client: IBM Global Services and IBM  Integrated Technology Delivery. Transition
Services 

Lead deployment of Virtual Server Administration (VSA) utility to 850 mission
critical UNIX servers owned and operated by the client, a major airline. VSA is
an IBM software tool developed to improve efficiency by providing centralized
server management.  Initially, a manual deployment utilizing a team of 5 subject
matter experts planned. Successful development and testing of an automated
deployment script to install the VSA agent on all servers allowed the project to
be completed in less than half the time without the need for an SME team,
generating associated cost savings to the client.

•	Coordinated and drove the creation, submission, and approval of change
requests in a timely manner to allow systematic deployment to the test,
development, system integration, and production environments. 
•	Negotiated technical issues such as updating of firewall rules to allow
deployment to servers located in DMZ. 
•	Maintained a comprehensive inventory detailing 60 parameters of each UNIX
server that was updated to report progress to the customer on a continual basis.

Creation and publication of Security Controls manual referred to as GSD331. 
Coordinated work of 10 to 15 subject matter experts in the timely creation of
this manual that dictates security settings and parameters governing 25 LPARS
that comprised a data center move from Cincinnati, OH to Alpharetta, GA.

•	Conducted live customer presentation of project definition, SOW, and
schedule.

•	Developed and refined plan to accomplish work according to schedule and
