The Collaborative Review Module provides a complete web-based toolset and
version-control package for publishers to manage their content during the review
process. A customer initially provides the content to codeMantra. Then, through
the provided interfaces and tools, they are able to distribute content to
editors, proofreaders, authors, and others to accomplish a true collaborative
review. All changes and versions are tracked by user and session.
This is a "project-based" workflow. This workflow will create Projects (in most
cases are a book) with detail screens and links to a history of files associated
with the project. There is functionality for each role in the system to be
notified when it is their turn to take action on a project. The files allowed in
the system will be a Word or PDF. The application helps the user to download the
latest file and make changes, then upload the revised file to the project.
