With Enterprise Experts Mr. Newcomb has had the opportunity to work on several
interesting projects that require expert DBA services. For a major drug testing
company Mr. Newcomb and Enterprise Experts were engaged to perform database
development for their new testing production. Mr. Newcomb designed the database
that was clustered and utilized Data Replication to Laboratories requesting the
test. Mr Newcomb was responsible for the creation off all stored procedures that
were used for Data validation sample FPIA and GCMS testing. Upon completion of
the Database design, and programming Mr. Newcomb and Enterprise Experts have been
engaged to perform 24/7 Database Monitoring and ongoing Performance Tuning.

Mr. Newcomb has also been engaged by a major timeshare corporation to perform 30
database moves from a single server environment to a multi server Clustered
environment. The interesting part of the project was that the client was not
keeping the same server name for the new server. Mr. Newcomb was responsible for
converting all DTS scripts as well as all TSQL Stored Procedure that had hard
coded machine references. This project was completed on time and under budget.

While on contract with Walt Disney World Mr. Newcomb has had the opportunity to
participate in 3 challenging Projects.
The Corporate Data Encryption project was the result of the California Law that
requires corporations to encrypt sensitive personal data that are housed in
Corporate SQL Server. Mr. Newcomb was responsible for the identifying standards
and products used to protect corporate relational databases. Impact on existing
systems, performance and manageability were meticulously analyzed and
recommendations were documented and implemented corporate wide. 
Mr. Newcomb was again called on to lead the Key Indicators System data analysis,
data modeling, design and implementation. This projects goals where to tie all
Disney Network Monitoring and Intrusion detection systems together into a single
Data Warehouse.  The Key Indicator system required extensive DTS scripts along
with TSQL stored procedures to mine the data from disparate systems. Once data
was mined the data was loaded in to dimensional cubes. The Key Indicator System
was completed on time and under budget.
For the SQL Standardization Project Mr. Newcomb established standardized
procedures to be used for existing and new database configuration. The Standards
that Mr. Newcomb developed where for Clustered and Non Clustered environments
corporate wide.
In addition to the main project work Mr. Newcomb and a team of 3 other DBA’s
supported all for Walt Disney World’s 400 SQL Server databases residing on 90+
servers.  Some of the technologies used were: Windows 2003, SQL 2000 ENT, SQL
64bit, ERWIN, Analysis Services, OLAP,  Red Gate, Erwin, Microsoft Cluster
Admin.

responsible for 100+ SQL Server development, test, UAT, training and production
databases. All SQL Server databases have been converted from 6.5 and 7.0 to SQL

Procedure creation and maintenance, Triggers and Views. Mr. Newcomb is also
responsible for data loading from the vendors that GOCO-Op receives production
information from. Mr. Newcomb created the DTS interfaces to vendors SQL Server
2000 and Oracle 9i systems, in which 12,000,000 records were loaded daily.  Data
from smaller vendors comes in various formats such as Excel, Access, Lotus, XML
and ASCII. Having the ability to collect this volume of data allowed Mr. Newcomb
to create and maintain a Centralized Data Warehouse. Creation of OLAP cubes and
DTS Scripts we Mr. Newcomb’s responsibility. Data collected was used to track
purchasing trends and Supply Chain Delivery.  Some of the technologies used are
SQL Server 6.5, 7.0 and 2000, TSQL, DTS, OLAP, XML, Embarcadero Suite, Erwin,
Mercado Search Engine, Access 2000, VBA, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, ASP, VB6

Benefit management firm that has recently been acquired by a national firm. CBI
had requested that Mr. Newcomb create a Sql Server Data Warehouse that would
serve the e-commerce benefit site that it was constructing. Mr. Newcomb created
all structures, stored procedures, user roles and triggers. Some of the

Assigned to AT&T to provide ORACLE 7.x Database Administration  and Client
Server support for the GBCS Accounts Receivable Subledger Interface. AT&T
Corporate Finance Organization requested the development of Business Unit
Subledger to retain detailed transactions supporting General Ledger sheet
accounts. Mr. Newcomb has designed and programmed the data feeds and balance
reconciliation packages responsible for populating the Subledger System. Feeds
are received via AFT and SWS from 7 sites Nationwide, totaling over 14 million
records per day. Mr. Newcomb also is responsible for all Database Administration
including planning, performance tuning, backups, and upgrades. All Client Server
applications were designed and most coded by Mr. Newcomb using the Visual Basic
and PCTCP. Mr. Newcomb also provided user Training for all software designed.

The majority of Mr. Newcomb's contract was spent on the ARTS/COSMOS Project.
ARTS / COSMOS is the AT&T / IMS Provisioning system responsible for tracking over
1 million equipment and circuit orders. In addition to provisioning system order
entry and order completion tracking ARTS / COSMOS maintains all expenditure data
as well as existing IMS existing installed equipment. While participating in ARTS
/ COSMOS Mr. Newcomb performed numerous duties including DBA, Lead Analyst,
Designer and Programmer. Under Mr. Newcomb’s responsibility are the Client
Liaison, Customized menu system,  Print system, Process Monitoring module, MVS to
UNIX data conversion and database feed, Numerous complex Screens and reports as
well as all DBA duties. Some of the technologies used where, Informix
SQL/4GL/ESQL/C/ONLINE, K shell, Borne Shell, C, Curses, UTS, UNIX V.
In addition to the COSMOS project, Mr. Newcomb co-developed and designed the
AT&T Universal Studios ET Visitor and Reservation System. This system is
responsible for tracking visitor reservations, lodging, meals, billing, and all
other conference and visit needs.
Also while on contract with AT&T SDO, Mr. Newcomb had the opportunity to work on
the AT&T PAL System. PAL Is the AT&T Corporate Patent and Licensing service used
to generate over 80 million dollars in licensing revenues per year. In addition
to patent and license tracking AT&T corporate managers and attorneys use the
system for future prosecution of patent infringement cases.

			 INFORMIX Database Administrator/Engineer
Mr. Newcomb was assigned as Senior Database Administrator/Engineer for the NAVI
project. Navi is the New Accounts Video Imaging system for J.C. Penny Credit
Corp. Mr. Newcomb maintained an Informix SQL/4GL database running under SunOS on
a Sun 4/490. Informix Turbo and Plexus Image handling software were also in use.
Mr Newcomb maintained all System related software while reviewing and
implementing enhancements to the System software as well as system related
procedures. Mr. Newcomb was responsible for coding all customized reports and
queries to ensure database integrity. Also while on contract Mr Newcomb
identified and conducted training to Penney's personnel for eventual turnover of
all system duties at contract completion.
	On completion of the contract, Penney's application processing grew from 4,000
per day to 21,000 applications processed per day.
