Senior Systems Analyst/Consultant
Documented business requirements, functional specifications and technical
specifications (including user interface design/sample screens and database
design). Analyzed and approved test plans, test cases and the QA process. Ensured
that all problems and issues were addressed in a professional and timely manner.
Partnered with the business stakeholders to understand their business models and
assist in formulating strategies to develop requirements for new and enhanced
functionality. Planned, designed, developed, and implemented efficient solutions
for complex business, financial, and operations systems: in support of core
functionality and business processes.
Responsibilities further includes the following:
Technical Management - Responsible for the technical supervision of assigned
support teams inclusive of the following: 2 Senior Systems Analyst, 1 Associate
Analyst, 6 Developers (supporting: ASP, JAVA, Visual basic, C++, SQL Server,
Oracle, Attachmate Personal and Attachmate HPS, Oracle Forms, Crystal Reports,
QlikView). Also had direct project Management responsibilities for 2 QA resources

Inter Department Liaison - Additionally, responsible for coordinating activities
with DBA group (Oracle 8i, 9i & 11i and SQL Server), Site/Desktop Support,
Desktop Support, Network Support, Telephony (including voice & data over an AVAYA
G3R switch and/or an Aspect switch as well as EDIFY and INTERVOICE IVR support),
Windows NT/2000 Support and the Unix Support group.
SDLC Support – Direct responsibilities of the College Board SAT account from
technical response to the RFP in support of the PRC Marketing/Sales team through
JAD facilitation, the development and delivery of Business
Requirements/Functional Specifications, associated Time & Cost estimates, a
project plan in support of the implementation timeline, and the delivery of the
customized version of the PRC CRM solution as proposed. Currently, providing the
primary point of contact for problem resolution as well as post implementation
support and enhancement and performance improvements for that solution.
Multiple Client Support - In addition to College Board SAT also have concurrent
point of resolution and SLDC support responsibilities for the following accounts:
College Board (IVR Support for college and loan/funding Information),
Expedia.com, Hotels.com, USARMY (US Army Recruiting), EARMYU (US Army Education),
USTA (United States Tennis Association), UNCF (United Negro College Fund – Annual
Marathon)
Time & Cost Estimating – Provided time and cost estimating for all assigned
application development and support tasks. In support of customer demands,
estimates frequently necessitated providing high level estimates preliminary high
level estimates (a range that is plus or minus 25% accurate) prior the completion
of the technical design of the solution.
Project Management – Provided project Management (utilizing Microsoft Project)
to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of the application development
effort within budget, and on time while ensuring optimum utilization of resources
and their skills.
Strategic Initiatives – Included as part of the Management team responsible for
the revamping of the processes and procedures in place to support a significant
increase in income and clients as well as the introduction of Professional
Services. revenue center
Application Development Process; Tasked with the responsibility to review,
revise, document and implement changes to the application development process.
Objectives included improvements in the SDLC to accommodate increased visibility
and accountability at all phase in the SDLC as well as performance improvements
in the implementing of projects.
Total Project Control (TPC) – The implementation of a Microsoft Project based
solution that accommodates the selective viewing of projects and columns within
projects. Individual projects for Business Analysts automatically accumulate to
respective Application Development Managers. Application Development Managers
automatically accumulate to the Sr. VP to whom they report. Similarly, the
individual projects accumulate to various Business Managers (Project Managers)
showing additional columns and automatically accumulating to Team Managers for
the Project Managers and the Team Managers automatically accumulating to the Sr.
Director to whom they report. In addition, there is the automatic accumulation of
Sr. Directors to accommodate the Sr. VP view of related projects. Currently
working with Microsoft towards the implementation of this solution on Microsoft’s
Project Server.

Independent consultant to several organizations, conducted functional
requirements definitions; completed functional specifications; assisted with
hardware and application software configuration, evaluation, acquisition,
installation; end user training. and support. Additionally, was primary point of
contact for escalation, problem resolution and Help Desk Support.
Creative Community Homes, Inc. 4/2003 – 7/2005 – Developed and documented the
operating policies and procedures for this assisted living (ALF) company.
Determined the functional requirements for Payroll processing, Client Accounting
(General Ledger and Cash Book), Mass Mailing and Marketing support
Determined the hardware requirements, assisted with the acquisition,
configuration and implementation of a Windows 2000 Server network with nine
workstations. The network was configured to provide simultaneous access to the
Internet for the nine concurrent users. Installed Microsoft Office suite, Print
Shop, EZ Payroll, QuickBooks and WINASAP (for ALF Client Account Reconciliation).
Determined and documented the functional requirements for the Web site for the
organization, which has not as yet been implemented.
Conducted user training for Internet access, MS Word, MS Office, MS Excel, and
MS Power Point, Print Shop, Visio, QuickBooks and WINASAP.
Millennium Express Mortgage 10/2003 – 01/2004 Evaluated existing hardware and
software configuration and made recommendations for upgrades to the same to
accommodate expanding functional requirements.
Assisted with the assessment of the functional requirements for the company’s
Web site and the selection of a hosting service.
Assisted with the reconfiguration of hardware, systems software (Windows 2000
and Windows XP peer to peer network) and application software to accommodate
simultaneous access to the Internet and various application software packages for
mortgage brokers and/or managers.
Patrick Simm P.A. 8/2003 – 9/2003 – Two month assignment for the owner of
SimStar Trading Group to determine and document the functional requirements for a
Web site for this Realtor. Assisted in evaluation several web hosting services
and identified the hosing service that best satisfied the functional needs. Also
assisted in evaluating the implementation of PartickSimm.com
Simstar Trading Group 4/2003 – 8/2003 – Responsible for determining functional
requirements; identifying software and hardware meeting these requirements.
Assisted in the acquisition of the hardware and software and in the
implementation process, including user training, for Inventory control, General
Ledger and Cash Book modules.
Shaw’s Quarry, Inc. 11/2002 – 02/2003 – Responsible for conducting needs
assessment for the automation of the financial systems for this organization.
Activities included documenting the functional requirements for Payroll
processing and reporting, Accounts Receivable processing, Accounts Payable
processing, Inventory Control processing and General Ledger processing.
