Achievements:
 *  Managing a 34,000 square foot wood and laminate casegoods manufacturing
facility for a unique public/private OEM. Originally hired as a Product Manager
to focus on new product development. Was subsequently promoted to Manager of
Product Engineering for the Furniture Division. Finally, was asked to manage a
wood and laminate casegoods manufacturing facility, while continuing product
engineering duties. Combined responsibilities included: strategic planning;
budget creation, P competitive research; customer interface; Sales training;
product design and development; value engineering and cost reduction; component
and raw material specification and standardization; inventory control; supplier
reviews and recommendations; collateral material development; pricing and
profitability analysis; work flow and scheduling; delivery and installation
logistics; personnel supervision, etc. Activities resulted in numerous
cost-saving initiatives, the redesign of a systems furniture product line, the
introduction of eight new casegood lines, numerous seating products, and many
custom designed products (e.g., 341 products were quoted in 2008 alone).
 *  Managed daily operations of a Product Development Group for an aerospace
structural subcontract manufacturer. This assignment required coordination of a
group of senior technical professionals responsible for all subcontract Bid &
Proposal activities and supporting internal R&D efforts. Aside from such
coordination efforts, personal responsibilities included: strategic planning,
discretionary funds budget creation/tracking/control, directing/managing specific
B&P efforts or individual proposal volumes, serving as Program Manager on a
feasibility study for an ESA astronaut training vehicle, the negotiation of a
licensing agreement for magna-forming technology with Boeing, etc. Overall result
was a $400M annual sales base and a $1B backlog. 
 *  Was Project Engineer on an R&D program that evaluated electromagnetic
hazards and threats to advanced composite structures. Authored final report later
used by the Aerospace Industry for the design of survivable composite aircraft
structures
 *  Designed structural components for Space Shuttle wing and various R
