PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

SUPREME GAMING LTD/INTRALOT LATIN AMERICA  JV, Miami, FL	Nov 2006-April 2009
Chief Financial Officer

Serve in a senior finance leadership capacity for this $400 million in sales
gaming provider of online lotteries, video lottery terminals (VLTs), phone cards,
and remittance services with domestic and international operations. Manage all
finance related efforts, including budgeting and forecasting, reporting,
financial analysis, payroll, cash management, accounting, audit, tax strategies
and IT. Establish investment banking relationships; structure debt and equity
financing. Formulate, review, and negotiate contracts. Supervise and provide
professional guidance to a staff of 15.
•	Proposed an offshore legal entity structure as part of a tax / IPO strategy
in collaboration with Ernst & Young tax advisors and legal counsel, resulting in
savings of $31.2 million (NPV).
•	Suggested and obtained approval from the Board of Directors to position a
future IPO on the AIM (London Stock Exchange) instead of the NASDAQ or NYSE as
part of a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), which is expected to save
several million dollars.
•	Negotiated and secured investment banking financing to handle a liquidity
event, which involved a $42.5 million payoff in venture capital; prepared the
prospectus, reviewed and analyzed the term sheets, and performed successful
negotiations.
•	Prepared and delivered the initial proposal to Intralot S.A a Greece-based
company for a joint venture to expand operations in Jamaica and Guatemala.
Championed final negotiations and signed JV agreements.
•	Designed and implemented a new accounting system in 60 days, 30 days ahead
of deadline, resulting in savings in excess of $100,000 in consulting fees.
•	Directed all financial business aspects, including monthly forecasting,
planning, analysis, and the annual budgeting process. Conducted financial risk
assessments related to currency and business risk, and tax exposure.
•	Developed and instituted a new BP&FA (Business Planning & Financial
Analysis) system, which saved $250,000 in licensing and consulting fees.

Managed the financial affairs for one of the largest drywall and stucco
companies in the southeast United States with annual revenues in excess of $200
million. Contributed as a member of the executive committee during a period of
reorganization. Built a highly effective finance function, and developed annual
operating and capital budgets. Led a staff of six.
•	Created and implemented a BP&FA system for budgeting, forecasting, and adhoc
analysis; integrated job costing from the accounting system, which reduced
reporting time by two weeks. Applied extensive accounting experience to define
system requirements, resulting in successful implementation.
•	Mapped all processes to include functional areas, and developed Six Sigma
metrics to identify cost reduction opportunities. Reduced upwards of 15
headcount, resulting in savings of $500,000+ annually.
•	Handled numerous special projects, including conducting a purchase analysis
for a corporate jet, which resulted in savings of $100,000+ in consulting fees. 
•	Spearheaded the start-up effort of Scaffolds Leasing, a new company for the
Group. Projected revenues were expected to be in excess of $5 million in year
one. Researched China-based scaffold manufacturers and solidified relationships,
resulting in a 25% discount in the scaffold purchase price.
•	Devised a long-term strategic plan for the company, including a retrenchment
initiative in the event of an economic downturn.

GRUPO SMART, México City, México	Dec 1997-Dec 2001

Directed all financial operations, including tax planning, cash management, and
work performed by the technology department for the largest alternative medium
advertising company in Mexico with annual revenues in excess of $100 million.
•	Negotiated and obtained an exclusive advertising concession for 12 Mexico
airports. Annual revenues increased $2.5 million in the first year; NPV 10-year
projection was $15 million.
•	Spearheaded a corporate reengineering effort, which eliminated duplication
of effort, reduced headcount, and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

AMERICAN EXPRESS TRS, Miami, FL	Dec 1989- Dec 1997
Regional Director Finance, Reengineering

Analyzed business processes and budgets for all functional areas and products,
including marketing, finance, operations, and procurement for the American
Express TRS LATAM Division with revenues in excess of $6 billion annually.
Implemented reengineering initiatives in cooperation with the VP’s of
respective functional and product areas. Applied strong financial analysis
expertise to review business processes as part of effecting positive change.
