HIRED, as Chief Engineer Manager to revitalize and organize an existing
engineering department, maintaining 1.5 million sq.ft. Four building JP Morgan
Chase complex. MANAGE 3 lead engineers and 8 skilled employees and two different
shifts. SERVE as company Safety and Environmental Manager and Project Manager for
new construction and Special Projects. DEVELOPED and administered capital expense
and operating budgets. PASSED JP Morgan Chase Engineering Inspection for the
first time in the sites history.

wastewater treatment facility in conjunction with TECO with an estimated annual

HIRED, as Director of Engineering, to revitalize an existing engineering
department, LED and DIRECTED the $3 1/2 million renovation of a 20-year-old
building (400 room hotel) on 12 acres of land. RENOVATED building inside and
outside, including: physical plant, HVAC, rooms, commercial laundry, parking
lots, lift stations and a 15,000 sq. ft. night club. DESIGNED maintenance package
and saved $60,000. HELD full management P&L responsibility for $2.6 million
capital budget and $500,000 annual operating budget. COMPLETED under budget and
on time.
TRANSFORMED the Engineering Department into a motivated and knowledgeable team,
which then passed the Holiday Inn Engineering certification for the first time in
its 20-year history. ESTABLISHED and implemented key control program, preventive
maintenance program and room quality program, and cost savings program involving
staff that saved a minimum of $70,000 per year. NEGOTIATED purchase and service
contracts with major vendors, distributors and OEMs.

ships from Maine to Mississippi. COMPLETED ahead of schedule and under budget
with an average savings of $700,000 per ship. TRAVELED to sites, INTERACTED and
negotiated with senior executives major concessions. CREATED and implemented
unique quality repair programs and without imputing scheduled operation of ships
at a cost savings of $70,000 per repair! HELD P & L responsibility for $84
million budget.
DIRECTED the government's only East Coast live fire fighting technical training
school which specialized in: safety methods, damage control, welding, silver
brazing and fabricating metal projects. SUPERVISED 60 civilian and 60 government
technical instructors and 400 weekly student base. DEVELOPED a motivated training
team, which was a leader in technical and safety training.
LED the engineering groups in 4 different organizations (ships commands).
IMPROVED communication of management teams, trained and motivated engineering,
operations and maintenance groups so that major overhauls were accomplished
always on time and under budget. RECEIVED government recognition in the form of
commendations and accelerated promotion, but more importantly passed official
inspections and performance exams no one thought possible!
OVERSAW mechanical and electrical engineers, technicians and workmen in
extensive repairs of power plants, main propulsion and structures while at sea,
in port and floating piers. IMPLEMENTED quality assurance programs, technical
training (OJT and classroom) which allowed completing several 6-month deployments
(out to sea) with no major equipment down time in 3 different organizations.
