Participated in the design and development of commercial software
distribution software. Application was designed to package software for
installation on enterprise workstations and servers. The application also
managed the promotion of the software through the testing lifecycle.
Primary responsibility was the design and development of the Packaging
(Swing, JNLP) and Promotion (JSP) GUIs. This included interfacing with
source-code management tools and database storage / retrieval. Other server-side
responsibilities included all interfacing with the entire application’s
infrastructure (Security, Transport, etc).
Also developed initial reporting tool, which utilized converting XML
data to readable reports via XSL. This was accomplished using Xalan.
Primary technologies used were Java, Swing, Servlets, Java Server
Pages, Java WebStart, JDBC, HTTP Tunneling, LDAP, XSL, XML and UML.
Development was performed on IBM’s Visual Age for Java 3.0.2, JBuilder
4 and Eclipse 2.1.
1999-2001 The Maxim Group / Homeside Lending Jacksonville, FL
Internet Developer
Designed, developed and implemented applications, which provided an
Internet interface to traditional bank services. These applications included
customer access to their loan status and the ability to contact the bank
regarding different loan solutions.
Developed web based interfaces by integrating Java Server Pages,
JavaScript, and HTML.
Created server-side functionality through the use of Servlets, JDBC,
XML, and Sockets. These technologies were implemented using IBM’s Websphere
Application Server 2.0. Development was performed on IBM’s Visual Age for Java
2.0.
1995–1999 Bank of America / Barnett Bank Jacksonville, FL
Senior Technical Analyst
Sun Certified Programmer for the Java™ Platform as of April 13, 1999.
Senior Technical resource on a development team which designed,
developed, and implemented a multi-tier, 100% Java automotive lease contact
management system. Developed programs for all three tiers.
Created GUI components as part of the client applet. The applet was
developed using JDK 1.1.6 and the Java Foundation Classes (Swing). The client
communicated with the web server (Sun’s Java Web Server) though HTTP tunneling.
Developed Servlets for Sun’s Java Web Server. The Servlets were used
as both a messaging gateway between the client and the application server and to
serve HTML based reports to the browser. Communication between the web server
and the application server was via RMI. The application server was created
completely in-house. The application server performed all user session management
and database (Oracle 8.05) queries. Database connections were through a pooled
connection within the application server. Oracle’s native JDBC driver was used to
facilitate communication.
Systems Analyst
International team's lead technical resource for supporting and
enhancing a vendor developed client server system (LCS) with over fifty users
spread across three cities.
Assembled, installed, and maintained both a multi-programmer
development environment and an intrastate QA testing environment. Both systems
were created using existing equipment and mirrored the production LCS system for
the first time since the original installation.
Initiated system changes to LCS, which increased average system
availability by over 10% and reduced the nightly batch cycle by over three hours.
Primary technical resource for all activities involved in outsourcing
LCS to outside company.
Responsibilities included analysis, programming, and testing.
Officially designated critical to the successful completion of LCS
outsourcing project.
Initiated and assisted in the development of the departmental intranet
home page. Designed and developed intranet home page for International Systems.
