Developed: * Ad Insertion capability to permit customers to design
advertisement campaigns for podcasts.
Ad campaigns can be sold by podcasters to produce a revenue
stream. Ad insertion was
accomplished by using the Leadtools Multimedia library, a
middleware product that
facilitated media file manipulation.
* Media File Compression to minimize network bandwidth
utilization and speed media file
downloads. Used media file parameters that fitted content
of media file (i.e. voice or music,
etc.)
* DHTML web page extensions using JavaScript to execute
enhanced client side functionality.
Included dynamic web page displays using hidden fields
controlled by JavaScript functions.
* SQL database performance improvements permitting 100 fold
capacity expansion.
Attention to stored procedure construction to promote
database characteristics to achieve
optimum performance and throughput.
* Content Management System for embedded web pages providing
podcast delivery
functions. Permitted customers to upload and specify web
portal characteristics to provide
multiple web pages for various podcasts (used by Travel
Channel web site).
* Implemented capability to embed images into multimedia
files using ID3 tags. Multiple
images can be embedded to handle fully specification for
album art.
2005-2007 VoIP Systems Architect, Fusion Telecommunications, Intl. Ft.
Lauderdale, FL
Developed: * Designed and developed advanced SIP softphone based on
Windows RTC. Supported
features such as flexible HTML GUI skins design, using
advanced Global IP CODECS,
SOAP interfaces for account balance and maximum call
length, call forward, call transfer,
call hold, do not disturb, voice mail, missed calls, call
history and phone book. Designed
extensions for Instant Messaging addition for softphone.
Implemented STUN and port
pinging services to facilitate traversal of firewalls and
NATs.
* Designed and developed SOAP based services for handling
softphone provisioning and
feature support, hardware configuration support for
configuration control and sales
interface, and coordination with Mind billing system
account settings.
* Designed and developed RADIUS based server to provide
interface with remote Quintum
gateways to provide account validation for remote users.
Allowed remote IVR to collect
account and PIN and control calling access. Also provided
local phone number access to
callback calls and account signup.
2003- Owner, Xtreme VoIP Corp., Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Developed: * Designed and developed embeddable call Routing Engine for
VoIP networks. Produced full-
featured route engine with 20,000 routes per second
performance on a single 800 Mhz
processor. Product developed and tested in Windows and
Linux environments. Measured up
to 400,000 provisioned routes with no significant
performance degradation.
* Designed and developed Route Engine provisioning server
using MySQL and JAVA client.
1996-2003 Director of Continuing Engineering, Adir Technologies
(NetSpeak Corp.), Boca Raton, FL
Developed: * Problem tracking software in C++ for using MFC and Oracle
Objects for OLE, client in
windows, server on Sun server running Oracle 8.1,
integrated with Crystal Reports
* NetSpeak NoteBook, a multi-media white-board application
used for graphic
communications across remote network connections. Based on
Windows COM architecture
and provided remote application sharing. Worked on design
of supporting clipboard
hardware to work with the NetSpeak NoteBook.
* Productized NetSpeak Credit Processing Server (CPS), a
real-time credit card processing
server that interacted with the VISA POS-Port devise to
perform real-time credit card
transactions. Developed GUI control application for the
NetSpeak CPS to provide individual
transaction control and reporting. Designed and developed
real-time interfaces from other
Windows NT and UNIX NetSpeak servers to use the NetSpeak
CPS for real-time charging
for services.
* Headed Development Integration Lab that improved quality
of products handed over to the
System Test Lab. Development Integration performed the
integration of product
components into completed products and assured that
product requirements were met. This
also included design and development of product
statistical views and performance analysis
resulting in improved product performance.
* Headed Continuing Engineering to provide customer problem
resolution and development
of custom applications for customer specific applications.
This involved definition of
processes to handle product problem resolution, patch
coding standards, patch release and
control procedures, and statement of works (SOW) for
custom development projects.
Included is negotiation with customers for SOW efforts,
management of development for on
time delivery.
