Experiences
===========

1992--Current OSS Nokalva, Inc.

Testing and packaging the OSS Biofoundry SDK and BSPs using the Windows testing
software previously developed by me and many years of other software testing
experience. Built and maintain a local area network (LAN) of Windows machines to
do porting, testing and other jobs mentioned.

Developing and maintaining testing plans and test cases. Performing
testing of individual biometric software components, as well as integrating and
system testing based on the ISO/IEC 19784-1 Biometric Application Programming
Interface.

Developed a unique automated fast modular synchronization and testing
script-based system on Windows which is easily maintained and updated. This
system allows to automatically synchronize a local Windows testing machine(s)
with a remote one and automatically run regression tests.

Provided low level high quality technical support on 24-hour basis.

Worked on testing the SS7 suite of protocols, such as INAP, IS-41, GSMMAP,
RANAP, etc. Worked on the project to develop the SS7 4400 monitor software that
parses incoming SS7 TCAP+IS-41 messages looking for BER-encoded phone numbers in
the ASN.1 BER stream filtering those of them that are within a given phone number
range.

Took significant part in developing the OSS ASN.1 Tools for C. The product,
including ASN.1 compiler and runtime, is the leading commercial ASN.1 product in
the market. It has been successfully used by Microsoft in its Internet Explorer
and NetMeeting, by Intel in its VideoPhone and by many other companies all over
the world.

Tested and ported the OSS tools to a number of platforms, including 32- and
64-bit versions of Windows, MS-DOS, 16-bit Windows for DOS, OS/2, NetWare,
Embedded Systems (68K, etc), using different C/C++/Java/C# compilers. The
products included:

OSS ASN-1Step, OSS ASN.1 CAGL for LED, OSS ASN.1 CAGL for SOED, OSS ASN.1 Tools
for C#, OSS ASN.1 PER Encoding Analizer, OSS ASN.1 Syntax Checker, OSS ASN.1
Tools for C, OSS ASN.1 Tools for C++, OSS ASN.1 Tools for Java, OSS ASN1XSD
Translator, OSS ECN Lean Tools for C, OSS Lean Encoder/Decoder Runtime for C, OSS
XSD/FWS Tools for C/C++, OSS XSDASN1 Translator, OSS XSD/FWS Tools for Java.

1984--1992 scientific researcher and system analyst at I.V.Kurchatov Institute

Developed the ICAR software for scientometric analysis of large documental
databases.

Developed intelligent software for conducting contents analysis of document
collections to trace trends in various subject areas of science and technology.

Author of 16 publications mainly in the field of information science
