EXPERIENCE
Palladian Consulting
01/08 – 06/08
Senior Programmer Analyst/Consultant
Albany, New York
Worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst/Consultant programming in Cobol,
Assembler, CICS, z/OS JCL, Endevor, Smartest, SyncSort, in-house-written
utilities, DB/2,VSAM, Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word,
Excel, Visio, etc. The project was a conversion from VSAM to DB2 for the client
address file for NYSDMV and I was working in another consultant’s place until his
visa got renewed. I wrote different adhoc programs to do counts on different
aspects and types of addresses for the various types of clients in the state of
New York and to do analysis of the different types and counts of trailer records
for all clients on the license primary file.
Isocorp, Inc.
07/ 06 – 01/08
Senior Programmer Analyst/Consultant
Tallahassee, Fl.
Worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst /Consultant for Unemployment
Compensation/Unemployment Benefits programming in Cobol, CICS,
TSO/ISPF, OS/MVS JCL, VSAM, Endevor, Xpediter(TSO and CICS), SyncSort,
in-house-written utilities, DB/2, Microsoft Office suite of products including
Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc. I worked in the capacity of an
ICON(Interstate Connection) programmer for AWI(Agency for Workforce Innovation)
which is an agency that was created to handle portions of the duties that was
formerly handled by the defunct Dept. of Labor. Specifically, the ICON
programmer maintains and develops programs written to handle people who live in
Florida and have worked in other states and/or live in other states and have
worked in Florida and are applying for unemployment benefits. I
developed/maintained programs in batch and on-line(CICS). An example of an
on-line transaction that I worked on was 'BXFE'. This transaction allows the
user to see an unlimited number of responses for a military employee or federal
employee where before the enhancement only the latest response from the employers
of these employees could be viewed. I put the paging technique in the
program/transaction. An example of a batch program I worked on involved
enhancing a program to pick up all wages for an employee for all employers for
all quarters to make sure his/her base period wages were correctly determined.
This is an ICON(Interstaste Connection) program involving IB4 transactions.
Orion Systems and Services 05/01 - 07/ 06
Computer Consultant
Quincy, Fl.
Worked as a Computer Consultant for the Gadsden County School District creating
29 Data Dictionaries
for the 29 currently used forms as a part of a team creating and installing a
Document Management System.
I also participated in the feasibility study to create the system by documenting
the process flow of the current
system and the flow of the new system that will automate all of the currently
user personnel forms by making
them web-based and interactive thereby reducing the drudgery of paper personnel
forms. The system will
be tailored to the environment and provide for document tracking and sharing
ability among other departments.
The system will also exist as a model for other county school systems. The next
task will be process mapping.
Worked as a Computer Software consultant doing process mapping for the Business
Auxiliary services
group. This consisted of mapping all of the processes for the different
business groups including the meal
plan, the bookstore, the ‘Rattler Card’ office, the Telecommunications group,
the copy center, the Post office,
and the Food Service Plan. After mapping these processes using Visio, they were
interfaced with the new ERP
system and the RMS system for FAMU Housing. Also, I interfaced with the
Webmaster to gain more insight into
possible creating separate web pages for the different groups
