Project goal was to create a Credit Card data processing program. The product
receives Orbital Credit Card XML data package using PUTTY sftp for secured
upload/download of transaction files and update in-house database transaction
files. This product instantiation increased cash flow by decreasing single batch
credit card transaction processing from 8 hours to 1hour.

Required low-level Security Clearance. This project consisted of Visual Studio
2005/VB.Net/SQL code generation for a centralized Mortgage Loan tracking system.
User authentication utilizes an encrypted data stream for login/password
verification against an SQL data table used to attach Authentication Manager
roles and operation to the client thread. This was accomplished through
implementing the IPrinciple interface. Data access to the SQL Server backend was
accomplished through Secured IIS Remoting services and data compression due to
the limited bandwidth in some remote locations. SourceSafe was utilized for this
project.
Developer for Hillsborough County (2005-2007)
Created DTS interface modules for import/export of GENESYS files to HRIS COBOL
and CISCO systems and vice versa. Includes use of FTP Upload/Download either
within the DTS modules themselves, or as a standalone VBScript. Use of ACCESS/VBA
to create user interfaces utilizing SQL system.
MS ACCESS/VBA Payroll generation system for Hillsborough Fire Department.
Report generation via SQL Server and Microsoft Access (VBA) with SQL ODBC
interface.

Created proprietary client/server FTP applications for tracking and
maintaining equipment in the field.
Lead Developer for G2Systems Inc (1999 2005)
Led a new product design. This included conferring with manufacturers for
building products as well as creating new product lines. Helped the company to
begin production in China. Expanded their product base from one product to 3 in
fewer than 4 months. Installed web based user interface for product downloads
(SQL/ODBC interface). Upgraded all software/hardware aspects from 1970s
technology (DOS/VB3) to current technology (VB6/VB.net/Linux). Code design in
VB6, SQL, ASP, HTML, C, C#, JAVA along with embedded graphic work. This was a
full-scale development effort including detail Use Cases, UML Sequence diagrams,
data and entity modeling. The application utilized nearly the entire Microsoft
Best Practices and Patterns Application Blocks collection in addition to the
following .Net technologies; the UI was written in C# .Net. The business and data
tiers were also written in C#. Web services were used in conjunction with http
preprocessors and authentication to attach Authentication Manager roles and
operation to the client thread via an SQL interface. This was accomplished thru
implementing the I Principle interface. Data access to the SQL Server backend was
accomplished thru Secured IIS Remoting services and data compression due to the
limited bandwidth in some remote locations. Typed datasets were used on client
side for data caching and performance purposes. Client side software updates are
accomplished thru binding redirects and dynamic configuration files. The server
side components were deployed in a load balanced failover cluster environment to
meet the clients zero down time requirements. Company hired me in as a part time
VP of Product Design in 2003.
Created a VB6 user interface for an LED sign messaging system. This included
the user interface, networking in intranet, internet, as well as designing a
Paint program in VB6 for creating/editing graphic image data to be displayed on
said signs. The graphic images were created in a proprietary format such only
those programs created for G2 could display the images.
Created C programs in both Linux and DOS to perform image manipulations on LED
signs.
Designed a Java platform for development of a product internet polling system
with accounting interface SQL/ODBC for normal SDLC.
Hired in 2003 to handle new product development and setup relations with China
manufacturer of LED signs, set up the company internet web site for customer
product interaction. The goal of this site was to allow the customer to download
LED sign display files for a show update via paid account verification. Client
logging in is directed to the appropriate download site based upon their category
code thus saving the company $30,000/month.
Created and developed an Ad Tracking© system with the ability to monitor
current advertisements running on the product in the field. This utilizes
streaming Video/Audio, SQL, and ASP.NET. Customers and Advertisers are allowed to
log into this system and are redirected to the appropriate area based upon the
clients setup information as found in the SQL database system. This system is an
ODBC data interface with a tie into 3rd party software XML based system.
Lead Project Manger, which included the design and development of all aspects
of this product, from the LED sign to the Internet and Database interface.
Completed Web based Simply Secure Discount drug application and
Medical/Practitioner search by zip code/distance, city, state and/or county
engine based on information as given by the Insurance provider. The system
generates an ASCI file for transfer to the Insurance System containing customer
data from a SQL database.
Created user interfaces, which utilized CPT, ABC codes for the creation of
Health Insurance Claim Forms for medical billing purposes. This included an
interface with a patient database to retrieve the billing information to be used
on the form(s).
1994 - 1999 AmTel Technologies (Function Group) Marietta, GA / Taipai, Tiawan
Software Engineering
Worked with Marketing in creating product description and feasibility. Create
project requirements, initial costing and material requirements, as well as
monitored the progression of the assigned project team. Extensive travel to
China to work with Chinese developers, and telecom customers. Performed in field
diagnostics of the phone systems to determine cause and give solution(s) for
field problems. Created a Debit Card interface, Mag stripe card interface as
well as display of advertising information for public payphones distributed in
China, South America, Panama, Indonesia, and other countries.
While in China (4 years), it was imperative to have the ability to create
diagnostic tools to debug equipment in the field. (This company did not provide
necessary tools for evaluation purposes. All debug and evaluation tools had to be
created from scratch. ) Performed analysis of production line problems in order
to keep the production lines running. This effort saved the company many large
contracts that were based upon delivery schedules (over 3mill USD saved). Taught
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) theory to Chinese management.
Designed and wrote C and Assembly. Also integrated the information provided by
the software/firmware with a relational Dbase system utilizing Windows NT.
Defined internal programming policies, employee codes, non-disclosures, and
all things necessary to ensure long-term support of this product by any
knowledgeable engineer.
