Explosive Ordnance Disposal Instructor

Improvised Explosive Devices Operations Subject Matter Expert for
NAVSCOLEOD. Developed and maintained curriculum for downrange operations on an
IED. Certified Instructor Evaluator. Provide classroom and high risk
laboratory/practical instruction to US military, FBI, ATF, Secret Service Agents
and foreign military services, on all aspects of IEDs to include the following:
threat, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), construction, electronics,
fuzing/functioning, X-ray diagnostics & interpretation, and RSP of IEDs utilizing
neutralization tools. Responsible for curriculum development and qualifying new
instructors. In charge of tracking, repairing, issuing and retrieval of over $1
million worth of bomb suits. Designated as IED Division Testing Officer.
UXO Tech II

Performs surface and subsurface clearances and disposals of impact range of large
projectiles, mortars, 40mm grenades, and BDU 's.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Craftsman
Dec 2000-Dec 2006 USAF
Responsible for the identification, render safe, and disposal of hazardous
unexploded conventional, nuclear, biological and chemical munitions, and
improvised explosive devices.
Provided support to civil authorities for incidents involving military
unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, weapons of mass destruction,
transportation accidents involving DOD owned or DOD contractor owned munitions,
or hazardous explosive items beyond the capability of the requesting civil
authorities.
NCOIC in charge of supply and two munitions accounts, Quality Assurance
inspector, Team Chief for base response team, Supply manager, Training Certifier,
Operating Instructions Originator, and Equipment Custodian.
Supported the United States Secret Service and the State Department as part
of protection details for the President of the United States, the Vice President,
and dignitaries from foreign countries.
Developed, presented, and maintained classes on ordnance recognition, bomb
search, bomb threat and reporting procedures to military, civilian, and federal
authorities.
Team Chiefed and/or directly supported multiple range clearance operations
on Poinsette Electronic Combat Range, Avon Park Bombing Range, Tonopah Test Range
and Ft. Bragg. Encountered bombs, guided missiles, rockets, large and small
projectiles, flares, grenades, dispensers, sub-munitions several buried munitions
sites and developmental munitions.
Deployed to Romania in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as base
response team for AC-130 aircraft and its munitions. Preformed multiple joint
disposal operations with Romanian Army EOD. Encountered various Russian munitions
including guided missiles, projectiles, and fuzes.
Deployed to Tallil, Iraq. Mission included clearance of weapons caches,
render safe of UXO 's and IED 's, and disposal of ordnance at a Captured Enemy
Ammunition site. Encountered tens of thousands of different types of ordnance
items in various conditions.
Deployed to Forward Operating Base Ghazni, Afghanistan. Mission included
UXO/IED render safe and disposals, route clearances, clearing weapons caches,
post blast analysis. Tasked as field team to work for Combined Explosive
Exploitation Cell (CEXC) for IED counter-measure development and enemy Intel
collection. Encountered US, Russian, Chinese, Italian, Afghani, and British
ordnance to include IED 's, rockets, guided missiles, grenades, landmines,
projectiles, bombs, sub-munitions and dispensers.
Awards received More than twenty various awards, accommodations, medals, and
letters of appreciation through the United States Air Force and civilian agencies
for exemplary service and job performance.
