OBJECTIVE: Seeking position as lead mechanic/ inspector

QUALIFICATIONS
I have 10 plus years experience as a FAA certified Airframe and Power plants
mechanic. Duties consist of removing, repairing, replacing, overhauling and
troubleshooting various military helicopters major components. Supervised and
directed the maintenance efforts of other mechanics while working in supervisor
and lead capacity. Performed duties as quality assurance inspector that consisted
of inspecting, incoming parts and components to ensure proper serviceability and
documentation , inspected in process and final work performed by mechanics. In
addition, ensured all time change components were properly documented on the
necessary forms and recorded any discrepancies found during the final inspection
process. Researched historical data of any questionable parts or components.

EMPLOYMENT

2005-present    Aircraft Lead mechanic L3 Vertex Aerospace CFS
 Responsible for leading a team of 10 mechanics to meet the required turn-
around time in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on The U.S.
Army?s UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Duties
consist of removing, replacing, repairing, trouble shooting, rigging, checking
and inspecting major components of the UH-60. Responsible for ensuring all
safety, tool control as well as other LOIs and SOPs are adhered to 
 Performs back shop maintenance consisting of disassembling, overhauling,
inspecting, repairing and reassembling main rotor heads, oil coolers, wiper
converters, rotary inputs, main rotor dampers, tail rotor retention plates, tail
rotor drive shafts, brakes, main and tail landing gear.

1999-2005 Airframe and Power plant Lead man, Raytheon Aerospace/L3 Vertex
Aerospace 
Assigned and directed the productive efforts of assigned employees. Made
recommendations for assignments of employees and work. 
Advised supervisory personnel of the status on work in progress and coordinate
with other departments as required to accomplish workload
Instructed assigned employees on proper methods and procedures as required for
accomplishing assigned tasks.
Responsible for the completion of assigned workload, as well as the preparing
and maintaining of required records.
Ensured required quality control inspections were complied with.
Ensured tool control program was enforced.
Maintained appropriate records of all work accomplished.

1981-1985 Airframe and Power plant Mechanic, Burnside-Ott 
Performed maintenance on UH-1 and TH-57 Helicopters in accordance with
manufacture's and company's maintenance instructions
Provided guidance to workers and helpers by sharing technical knowledge to
enhance accomplishment of assigned tasks
Evaluated condition of engine and dynamic components requiring inspections as a
result of operation outside of established parameters
Conducted quality assurance inspections on work performed by other employees.
Read and interpreted manufactures' maintenance manuals, blueprints, and service
bulletins.
Used test equipment, special tools, rigs and jigs for the purpose of
accomplishing all necessary maintenance tasks.

1976-1981 Aircraft mechanic/crew chief, U.S Army
Responsible for maintaining the Army's OH-58 A&C models helicopter in mission
capable status by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

FAA Airframe and Power plant License.
Computer Skills: Experienced working with various software MS Works, PowerPoint,
Windows, Excel, and MS Words.
Engine Rinse Certified, Helicopter Ground Turn-up Certified.
