Being the lifeline between the auction and the registered dealer. Conducting
legal background checks on dealer licenses, bonding information and sales tax
certificates to ensure that newly registered dealers are legitimate. Continually
updating and processing data that is maintained periodically in the AS400
database, organizing and processing detailed paperwork, constant communication
with other auctions worldwide, researching and verifying bank information. Also
managing the department, solving problems and handling situations where a
manager’s assistance is needed. As assistant to the Credit Manager I was
responsible for credit approvals for registered dealers at the auction. Was also
responsible for how they were to pay for vehicles purchased at the auction based
on their personal credit reports, bank letter report, and history with Manheim
Auctions. Also assisted with the collections department by processing returned
checks, collecting past due auction fees, reviewing collection reports on a
weekly basis and other collection duties as needed.
