DIGICON CORPORATION – Database Programmer/Analyst, (3/98 – 1/2008)
• Visual Studio.Net Web Development using VB, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, XML,
Java Script, SQL Server, and SQL Reporting Services
Personnel Positioning and Evaluation Scheduling
This project was developed using the Microsoft Pet Shop architecture. It was
made up of a DAC Factory, a SQL Server DAC, an object model component, a service
component, a function interface, and a website using Active Server Pages. VB.Net
was used for code behind. Java Script was used for client side validation,
populating drop down list on the fly, and inserting dynamically built HTML
tables. Reports were developed using SQL Server Reporting Services.
• VB 6.0 and VB.Net Win Form Development for SQL Server and Oracle Databases
Organizational Inspection
This project used the traditional 3 tier architecture: Win Forms for the
interface, a business logic and service object, and the database. It was
developed using VB. Net, SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Mobilization and Readiness Assessment
This project used the client server architecture. It was developed using VB6,
Crystal Reports, and SQL Server. It was used to measure the readiness of units
before the left on a mission. The user could build a list of things needed for a
mission or a certain arena and then use to software as a checklist.
Base Realignment and Closure
This project also was developed in VB6 and made use of the client server
architecture. It was used to track and schedule base realignments and closures.
Budgeting and Analysis
This was a VB6 client server project that used Oracle as a back end. This
system just primarily imported files from other government systems into an Oracle
database. The user would use a program we developed to query the database for
different codes and amounts. They would then perform what ever editing they
needed to do and save the record.
