PROFESSIONAL EXPERENCE

May 2005 – Present
Lead Systems Programmer/Analyst
TSYS

•	Responsible for development and maintenance of COBOL and DB2 programs loading
into a DB2 data warehouse.  Updating and maintaining the DB2 data warehouse using
SQL.
•	Worked on Consumer and Commercial credit card systems under the TSYS
platforms.  The data was processed and passed from the production PLEX to the
storage PLEX and then housed in a DB2 data warehouse.  The system was written in
COBOL / CICS and pulled the data form IMS and VSAM databases.  All data was
reformatted into DB2 format before loading into the data warehouse. 
•	Lead on several projects with 6 programmers reporting.
•	Rewriting  Credit Card data warehouse system and reducing company’s expenses
in half.

•	Responsible for development and maintenance activities in the Order Entry,
Billing warehouse system.  All development and support is performed in the COBOL.
CICS, IDMS,DB2, and VSAM environment running under MVS.

•	Responsible for development and maintenance activities in the QCARE system. 
Also developing interface connection with a VRU remote system using client server
networking.  All development and support is performed in the COBOL. CICS IDMS and

•	Responsible for converting all DMS panel programs to CICS.  Maintenance and

•	Responsible for both development and maintenance/Enhancement activities within
Order Entry, Warehousing and Serialized inventory application areas.  All
development and support is performed in a COBOL, CICS and VSAM environment
running under VSE/ESA.

•	Additional responsibilities include serving as the EDI Coordinator. 
Responsible for installing and maintaining Sterling’s Gentran 5.0 product,
developing EDI links from Order Entry, Payables, Receivables and other in-house
application.  Additional duties include putting up several trading partners.

•	Responsible as key team member for the migration and merging of the AD/DP
facilities in Dallas, Texas.  Specific responsibilities included conversion,
testing and migration of application, design and construction of conversion
utilities and applications.  Application areas addressed included Inventory
Control and Management, Accounting, Receivables, Payables and Payroll.

•	Development environment was COBOL, CICS and VSAM under VSE.

July 1989 – October 1991

•	Responsible for design, programming and enhancement of both online and batch
applications in an IBM 4381 environment.  Specific areas addressed included
Payables, Receivables, On-Dock receiving and Payroll.  Converted 253 programs to
CICS using MIS/OL.  Also performed program enhancements and created maps and
programs using BMS/GT.  Environment was IBM 4381, DOS/VSE, JCL, VSAM and COBOL.

•	Responsible for the design, programming and implementation of both in-line and
batch applications, including Order Entry and Payroll areas.  Participated in the
installation of a WANG VS/7110, as well as assisted in the installation of fiber
optic lines for the system.  Delivered several procedures and policy manuals for
implementation of the WANG VS/7110 system, including multiple links.
