distributors.
Improved supplier on-time delivery, implemented past due reviews, hired an

Reduced cost on packaging materials 4% and developed product market analysis to

Managed over 400,000 dollars of weekly production material with

schedule purchase orders to meet a changing production schedule.
Controlled inventory levels for over 1400 parts and maximized inventory
turns as well as expediting purchase orders to meet requirements.
Cross-functionally communicated with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers in
order to meet customer delivery.
Developed a Microsoft Access database, which was used in a vendor
performance matrix.
Improved inventory performance turns from 6 to 8 turns per year.

GE Power Systems operates an office in Marietta, GA that supplies the
power-generating industry with spare parts for gas and steam turbines.
Initiated purchase orders using Oracle and managed over-dues, which
were reduced to 1% of open orders amounting to 3 million.
Developed new source for high temperature weld rod, reviewed supplier
quality documentation to assist in certifying new suppliers.
Worked with field reps and engineers to insure correct parts were
purchased by following supplier deviation procedure and engineering
change notices.
Read prints to determine specifications for machined parts.
Completed an E-auction that reduced expenditures on my commodity by 420 thousand
dollars annually.
