My primary focus is systems integration, analysis and design with an emphasis on
systems standardizing and project and personnel management.  I have performed
lead consulting and management work in the areas of systems architecture
development, user interface development, backend data modeling and
standardization, and RDMS data integration.  I am an expert at analysis and
design of workflow applications, distributed database rollout and support,
network infrastructure design and security, and all aspects of Internet
technology integration.

Development Languages & Tools
I am an expert data integrator and have direct experience integrating Oracle,
Sybase, Informix, DB2, FoxPro, MS-SQL Server and MS Access database.  I am well
versed with standard ODBC SQL, and have created many .NET forms applications to
perform data integration using complex cross-walk tables for data
transformation..
I am also well versed in JavaScript and HTML. I am an experienced ASP Web
Developer and am well versed in the Macromedia product line.  I am an expert
Lotus Domino R5 and R6 @Functions developer and am an expert LotusScript
programmer. I am skilled at creating custom interfaces using Adobe Photoshop.
I am an expert at developing secure distributed applications. I am proficient in
many programming languages.  I was one of the first Level II Certified IBM Domino
Instructors in 1993.  In 1995 IBM/Lotus Development named me as their Instructor
of the Year.
Operating Systems & Environments
I am experienced with all Microsoft Windows environments.  I am also experienced
with Mac OSX Servers, and Sun Solaris. I have installed Network Operating Systems
on servers under Microsoft, Novell Netware, SUN Solaris UNIX, SCO UNIX, IBM-AIX
and Linux (pick you’re flavor).
I have implemented secure Firewall systems for Business to Business Extranet
connectivity and designed similar secure Internet servers and VPN Connections.
 
  
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Muscogee County School District, Columbus, GA	March 2009 –Present
ERP - IT Team Lead
Currently working on year two of a four year project converting disparate
Mainframe finance, payroll, HR, and food services applications under a single
modern ERP system.  Created a .NET application to transform finance data from the
old system to the new ERP system.  Managing the installation of the new ERP
server environment (Virtual Microsoft application and IIS servers, with a MS-SQL
cluster).  Also designing reports and workflow.  Analysis performed by business
team was inadequate  (only very high level); fleshed out the intricate workflows
that will handle the myriad of exceptions.

AFLAC Communicorp Division, Columbus, GA	October 2007 –February 2009
Manager - IT Strategy and Design
Evaluated the largest purchases in IT Software infrastructure in the divisions
history.  Handled vendor relations and eventually project management. 
Established social networking software to link corporate to vendors for both
support and project management.  Took over Digital Press department during
transition while managing other projects.  All together interacted with 6
independent remote vendors, 4 direct reports, and 9 internal departments.  Was in
direct daily contact with C level management.  

American Life Assurance Company (AFLAC), Columbus, GA	September 2006 –October

Project Manager/Supervisor/Lead Developer.  At Aflac, I Supervise onsite and
offshore development and administrative resources, and maintain the IBM Lotus
Domino ITIL based applications and systems.

Consultant – Owner

CLIENT: NYSE	November 1999 –April 2005
Project Manager/Lead Developer. I developed and maintain several databases for
the New York Stock Exchange including the NYSE Consolidated Calendar application
and the NYSE Hearing Board Document Workflow application.  These applications
incorporate advanced features such as third party reporting and the embedding and
population of MS-Word legal documentation with data from Notes documents using
OLE/COM Visual Basic.

CLIENT: NY Life	October 2002 – January 2003
Lead Developer. Designed and developed the Enterprise Architecture Project
Request Tracking database.  Performed 3rd level database support across a wide
range of Lotus Notes databases.  All databases were accessed via web browsers.

CLIENT: Metropolitan Life Insurance	August 1999 – January 2000
Analyst/Designer/Lead Developer. I designed and developed MetLife’s IT
department Policy and Standards database.  The Database was designed to be
published from a Notes Client and accessible on the corporate Intranet via http. 
Cross browser compatible HTML, CSS and JavaScript were used extensively in the
crafting of the application.

CLIENT: Whitehall-Robins	May 1999 – August 1999
Systems Architect Consultant. I was engaged by Whitehall-Robins to assist in the
design of their eBusiness Strategy.  Designed a top down enterprise architecture
to support Whitehall-Robins’ eBusiness Strategy using forward looking technology
and methodologies, with the ultimate goal of providing six-sigma quality ordering
and manufacturing.

CLIENT:  Hoffmann- La Roche ~ Brokered though Actium Corporation	March 1997 –
May 1999
Analyst/Project Lead/Lead Developer/Consulting.  Besides performing a lead role
as a Notes/Domino consultant (everything from remote user rollouts, to
environment issues, to database security), I was involved with, and led, several
Notes development projects that required extensive knowledge and experience with
LotusScript. Most projects involved data integration with RDMS and legacy systems
using a combination of flat file processing and Repic-Action.  Some applications
required simultaneous Notes Client and Web browser access.

CLIENT:  Deloitte & Touche Tax Technologies LLC
Senior Developer.  I managed several development projects including a State and
Local Tax Information application that spans 54 databases with unique
navigational tools and extensive LotusScript agents.

CLIENT:  Lotus Development Corporation
Public Speaker/Seminar Design. During the project I designed and delivered a
Lotus Technical Workshop Seminar to Lotus Business Partners across the country,
focusing on the development and implementation of Lotus Components.  I was the
presenter for the daylong seminar.  I also developed the presentation material
and sample applications used in the seminar and delivered a Business Partner
Satellite broadcast on TEN (Technical Education Network).

Casahl Technology, Inc., Danville, California	 October 1995 - March 1996
Midwest Business Manager
Business Manager/Lead Trainer/Consultant.  Casahl’s focus was their product
Replic-Action, a data replication product that allows for replication between
Lotus Domino databases and over 100 relational and legacy data systems.  A strong
background in Lotus Domino, RDMS and SQL was required, as well as technical
writing and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
Provided consulting services to fortune 500 companies to integrate relational
data system with Lotus Notes.
Created all courseware.
Offered seminars and taught training classes to customer base.

Dataflex Corporation, Edison, New Jersey	February 1990 - October 1995

Senior Consultant - Lotus Certified Instructor	October 1994 - October 1995
I functioned as lead consultant for Workgroup Computing and Senior Notes
Instructor. My responsibilities included training all junior Notes professionals
as well as the development and refinement of all proposals, project execution
plans, and work breakdown structures insofar as they pertained to Workgroup
Computing projects.

Product Specialist	October 1993 - October 1994
In 1993 I headed up Dataflex’s Workgroup computing practice.  In October of
1993, I was certified to teach all Lotus Notes courses and began a position as
Senior Instructor.
Responsibilities:
Main resource of technical knowledge transfer and support for the Lotus Notes
product line and third party products.
Assist Sales Team and Project Managers in the creation of proposals, Project
Execution Plans and Work Breakdown Structures for all projects involving Notes
implementation, consulting, application development and training.
Implemented large-scale Notes deployments and Design and develop Notes
applications for in-house and customer use.
Developed “Training Scheduler” Application that was deployed by Lotus
Development Corporation to 9,000 Business Partners on the Lotus Inside Edge CD.



Business Development Specialist	June 1992 - October 1993
My primary role was to analyze the marketplace and define Dataflex services,
then position Dataflex services so as to maximize profitability, improve brand
recognition of Dataflex as a lead Systems Integrator, and insure world class
quality. In this function, I was the sole internal consultant for process
definition and measurement.
Responsibilities:
Define all professional service offerings including total cost analysis and
profit breakdown, including the necessary market research to justify and identify
the most profitable offerings.
Process flow analysis, highlighting the interdependent relationships between
internal business units and customer business units so as to determine
quantifiable measurements.
	
Marketing Support Specialist	July 1990 - June 1992
My position mirrored Product Specialist without the focus on process analysis
and quality assurance.  During this time, I Developed Dataflex’s Trade-Up
promotion, which accounted for twenty-three percent of Dataflex’s overall revenue
in 1992. I also designed the database architecture to handle marketing programs
and utilized my SQL background to support marketing efforts.

LAN Product Specialist	February 1990 - July 1990
I was hired to function as the in-house LAN/WAN expert with an emphasis on
Novell’s Network architecture.  I supported Dataflex Sales Force and customers in
their efforts to integrate and grow Local Area Networks.  In 1990, I designed
Dataflex’s first professional Local Area Network services offerings, giving
Dataflex customers and Sales Teams a clear idea of what we were capable of
performing.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support for all Dataflex LAN customers.
Designed Dataflex’s System Integration professional services offerings.
Supported Dataflex’s Sales Teams in their efforts to sell LAN services.


Jim Krantz and Associates, New York, New York	January 1988 - February 1990
Systems Engineer
Designed, Installed and supported Novell and 3Com 3Plus networks within the New
York City metropolitan area. Additionally, I performed software application
installation, client phone support, technical sales consulting, system and
software demonstration, and software evaluations.  I was one of the first
certified FDDI network specialists on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
Novell and 3Com 3Plus server generation and installation.
WAN integration design and installation, including configuration of Bridges and
Routers.
Maintenance and troubleshooting support for contract clients.
Installation and evaluation of shared productivity based software.
