Maintenance & Receiving Manager
Belk Department Store Conyers, Georgia
Direct team that receives all merchandise, supplies, displays, visuals, etc.
from
trucks. Verify received goods to manifests, process merchandise by applying
security tags - hanging if required - racking, and delivering to proper
departments. Process all "mark out of stocks" and "return to vendor"
shipments, store to store transfers, and customer purchase shipments via UPS.
Process all damaged goods. Work with all department managers, and store
manager to make sure that all advertised specials are in store and in place
before sale. Maintain inventory of all office and janitorial supplies.
In charge of all building maintenance and housekeeping services and their crews.
Originally I was asked by the regional vice president (a friend) to come on
board and serve as Project Manager for this new facility because of my
knowledge of Belk construction and supervisory experience. I had oversight of
building construction from the four bare walls and visual display design to
make sure that facility met Belk's strict standards of development and
completion time schedules. I was later asked, if I would consider staying in
Conyers and take the Receiving/Maintenance Manager's position due to the
unexpected vacancy.
Owner/operator
JMC Appliance Company South Carolina and Georgia
Own and operate domestic and commercial appliance repair service center.
Maintain warranty service for majority of brands of appliances.
Technician and Instructor
Circuit City Service Center Duluth, Georgia
Supervisor: J.D. Huntington
Lead tech and technical instructor in service center. Maintained all appliances
and refrigeration that was delivered to center (averaged 30 a day), and was the
instructor to all incoming appliance/refrigeration technicians and those that
needed personal refresher training, and training on new equipment.
Reason for Leaving: Circuit City closed all appliance sales and service centers.
Service Manager/Technician
Whaley Foodservice Repairs Charlotte, North Carolina
Supervisor: Larry Crawford (Columbia, SC headquarters)
Managed a total of 20 technicians covering North Carolina, parts of South
Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia. Responsible for timely repairs of all
commercial kitchen equipment owned by thousands of customers from small grills,
major restaurants, to major institutions such as penal institutions, school
systems, hospitals, and even some residences which installed commercial
equipment. Involved in kitchen design and installation of kitchen equipment.
Personally involved with customers when problems needed to be resolved through
customer relations which included walking many customers through the diagnosis
and repair of equipment over the phone.. Developed relationships with
manufacturers, dealers, and factory reps in order to better serve them and
their customers. Factory trained on all commercial brands and Commercial
Foodservice Certified. Hold Universal Refrigerant certification. I personally
designed the preventive maintenance program for the Charlotte Mecklenburg
School System (one of the nation's largest systems) - especially their steam
cooking equipment
I have experience on the repair of all brands of cooking, cleaning, and food
preparation equipment.
