 Resident Treatment Supervisor 1
As a Resident Treatment Supervisor I was in charge at all times on for one unit
of mentally challenged clients and was the sister unit for another unit that I
would cover when that supervisior was off. I was also in rotation to act as
staffing supervisior for the 8 units in our team. When doing this I would be sure
that all units had the required number of staff and rotate staff around until all
units were adequately covered. If adequate staff not availabe would call for
volunteers to overtime and if still not enough staff would mandate overtime. On
my unit I would work in close contact with the Treatment Program Manager in
writing client programs and training staff on those programs, would pass client
medications, weekly hold staff meetings with my shift and also hold cross shift
meetings weekly with the next shift. I would draw up the agenda for these
meetings and work to resolve any issues the staff had. Weekly I attended a
supervisors meeting with all other superviors in our team. Trained staff on
policies and procedures as needed. Scheduled vacation time for staff. Wrote staff
evaluations, did any disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Served
on the committee that rewrote the standards for the Resident Treatment Workers
and those standards are still being used today. Attended many classes while
working at Woodward Resource Center. I requested a complete list of these classes
in July and have not received as of this date. Some of those classes were: State
