Professional Experience

4/09-current	LINW, LLC. Spokane, Washington
Senior Software Consultant on website portal modifications. All design
modifications where performed in the LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySql/Php) environment.
Extensive use of Javascript/Jquery were also used to achieve the required
functionality desired by the business owners of the website.

5/07-current	Lumify, Inc. Spokane, Washington
Senior Software Engineer Consultant on all software projects within the
organization. Performed all tasks from ranging from design/setup of computing
environments to developing/testing/releasing large scale software applications.
Applications are developed on 'Cloud' hosting soltuions, geographically
distributed Windows 2003/2008 Servers and MSSQL 2k Databases. Software
applications are developed using Web 2.0 standards, C#, ASP.NET, WebServices,
XML, VoiceXML, VOIP/IVR, Javascript frameworks (YUI/Moo), and AJAX technologies.

5/05-5/08	Maximus/AssetWorks	Spokane, Washington
Lead Software Engineer Consultant on numerous internal software projects. I
created the development / testing environments for internet developers to work
within during the life-cycle these projects. Aided in the creation the C# APIs
for the specific projects to start developing a framework for code reuse and
standardization. I integrated various design patterns into the projects as
required, to make them enterprise level, robust software solutions. I mentored
the junior staff on C#/ASP.NET Architecture, Object Oriented Concepts, Design
Patterns, and various unit testing and debugging techniques.

InfoCenter is the web interface into the FleetFocus™ FA software application
which allows organizations to capture and analyze all costs associated with
owning and operating a fleet of vehicles. This project utilized C#, ASP.NET,
Oracle/MSSQL,XML,Javascript/AJAX and YUI.

MobileFocus is the comprehensive mobile computing platform that enables remote
parts and labor capture functionality, as well as bar code capabilities using
"ruggedized" Palm®,Symbol®, and PocketPC/Windows Mobile devices. The mobile
device software allows users to access numerous features in a remote environment
within the
FleetFocus™ FA software application. This project utilized C#, .NET Compact
Framework, MSSQL CE, and Windows Mobile.

4/03-5/05	Coldwater Creek(CWC)	Sandpoint, Idaho
Senior/Lead Inter/Intranet Developer on numerous internal software projects. I
created the development / testing environments for internet developers to work
within during the life-cycle these projects. Aided in the creation the C# APIs
for the specific projects to start developing a framework for code reuse and
standardization. I integrated various design patterns into the projects as
required, to make them enterprise level, robust software solutions. I mentored
the junior staff on C#.NET, VB.NET, .NET Architecture, Object Oriented Concepts,
Design Patterns, and various unit testing and debugging techniques.
Developed the Amazon affiliate interface to sell CWC products on Amazon.com.
This interface was XML/SOAP with real-time inventory and price changes. Orders
also came from Amazon pre-paid, and these orders had to be entered into the CWC
order entry system. This was not supported in the order entry system, so this
was a large integration and functionality change project. I also was the project
manager on this project as well as the lead developer.
Maintained the email sending system that CWC used to send out approximately 3
million emails per day, 3 times a week. This application also was used to send
out electronic gift cards, shipping confirmations, and web production system
error messages. This application was implemented using PMTA, C#, MSMQ, ASP.NET
to accomplish email deliveries.
Performed production support for ALL the applications for the group. Helped
junior staff understand and debug issues that are raised by customers and our
testers. Create scalable solutions to problems (bugs) that were found, instead
of a quick band aid fixes.
Database Architect on numerous internal software projects. I created a new
physical and conceptual schemas for the CWC website. This website is a
nationally distributed, load balanced, web farm implementation. The website
currently employs VB6, COM, ASP, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET, 3rd party COM Objects,
VBScript, JavaScript and HTML/DHTML. The shopping cart is a DB clustered
solution with a fail-over mirror. The site currently supports 300+ million in
sales per year, with a peak of 3 million in one day.
Developed SQL scripts, stored-procedures, and packages to migrate dynamic item,
product, customer, and image data from CWC content creation area, to development
integration area, staging and testing area, to production. Prior to my efforts,
dynamic data was altered directly in production.

8/00-4/03	University of Idaho	Moscow, Idaho

Instructor of Computer Science. I developed the entire course material for 4
classes: Programming Design and Algorithms (CS113), Data Structures (CS213),
Database Systems (CS360), and Advanced Database Systems (CS 460/560). This course
material includes lectures, assignments, class projects, quizzes and tests.

Freshman Adviser of Computer Science. I helped students with planning their
computer science college career. This ranges from minors in the field of computer
science, to masters degrees. It requires a good knowledge of offerings at the
University of Idaho and what industry is looking for in a computer scientist.

Software Engineer for National Institute for Advanced Transportation
Technologies (NIATT). I constructed a software development practice to support
their software/hardware being used in the traffic industry. I also worked on
developing software projects for modeling transportation costs, flows, and safety
factors. Using DHTML, ASP/C#.NET (beta), PHP, Access. Java, XML, and Visual C++.

Software Architect / Developer of the Polya Software System. I mentored a
Statistics graduate through the process of designing and developing a web enabled
database system. I completed final development to ensure that the product would
be released for the Fall 2001 semester deadline. A web client application was
also developed for the users of this system. Instructors, Polya administrators,
and students use this system daily with about 15,000 database transactions per
day. Used DHTML, ASP/C#/VB.NET (beta), Java, Palm OS, MSSQL 2000, and
VBScript/ASP.

Software Architect / Project Manager of the Hummer Intrusion Detection Software
System for the Computer Security Dependable Software (CSDS) Institute within the
Computer Science Department of the University of Idaho. I mentored a couple of
Computer Science (CS) student interns through the process of designing and
developing a secure Java based, multi-threaded, distributed, messaging system to
deliver messages to all the other "agents" within the system. We used a spiral
methodology for the development of system. The messaging system is currently
being used as the foundation for the Hummer System. The messaging system was
tested with drivers sending many hundreds of thousands of messages per hour. It
was successful with these tests after proper configuration of the Java Virtual
Machine of the server application. Used SNORT, Java, Java Cryptography Extension
(JCE), Java Secure Socket Extension (JSSE), Java Authentication and Authorization
Extension (JAAS), Secure government protocols in research, and Java Database
Connectivity (JDBC).
Software Architect / Project Manger on a DNA Web Application for Proctor and
Gamble research. Mentored a class of about 15 students through the process of
designing, implementing, and release of a database project during a semester.
This project worked on simulated PCR of DNA sequences and gathering similar
strands for organism naming. Tracked studies of samples for related research.
Used Oracle 8i, PHP, Apache, IIS, Perl, Awk, Lex and HTML.

Designed and Implemented an object abstraction layer (CIB - Customer Information
Broker) between the LocalCARE system and many external order entry systems.
Created an InfoSpaceMgr that controlled the instantiation of infospaces which
handled the different connection methods to the external systems. A generic
OrderEntry object was created and used internally by the LocalCARE components.
Created web based CGIs to test CIB and for QA to use for testing. Used MCI
Registry Interface (message queues), OAK CORBA (1.0 compliant), and Oracle
ProC/C++ API. Core LocalCARE application is written in C++. Perform all system
administration tasks on the HP9000 K260 used for development and testing.
