Analyst Programmer who participated on a database conversion team working for
over 2 years on a multi-year project to deliver an innovative customer management
and billing system for a regional natural gas supplier. The database conversion
was critical for providing accurate information originating from legacy mainframe
to the Oracle database of the new system. Conversion code development utilized
Micro Focus Cobol on a Unix system. The successfully delivered billing system
was expected to improve customer service for the client’s natural gas customers
region-wide and save millions of dollars in costs annually.
Promoted to System Analyst and worked in a quality assurance capacity for a
national automobile/casualty insurance corporation. Performed in a team whose
job was to execute scripts to test newly installed enhancement of an innovative
casualty insurance application. Executed and analyzed mainframe system
application written in Cobol II to ensure programming met business expectations.
Provided motivational and technical guidance for junior programmers on the team.
Quality assurance role on a team responsible for client delivery of a
proof-of-concept application for the mail order division of a pharmaceutical
corporation. The application being tested was a re-engineered browser-based
sample of an existing sales-to-product shipment system. Created test cases and

Analyst Programmer
Technical Analyst on a corporate human resources student training administration
project team working for a client national bank. Enhanced PeopleSoft HRMS
applications in support of in-house corporate training administration.
Highlighting involvement on this team was the delivery of a reporting application
that enabled retroactive, present, and future recovery of substantial yearly
corporate training tax credits.
Information analyst on a corporate human resources and payroll production team
supporting the aforementioned bank. Interacted with bank managers, business
analysts and users to analyze, investigate, develop and test code for HR and
Payroll applications. Mentored junior programmers on the project team on using
various technical tools necessary to complete PeopleSoft HRMS application
solutions. Also functioned as change control migrator using change management

System Engineer
Information analyst in the renovation of two mainframe financial subsystems
(Inventory Reconciliation and Cost Accounting) to achieve Year 2000 compliance
for a major commercial airline. Wrote new code and enhanced existing code
written in COBOL and JCL. Database was DB2 running on OS/390 mainframes with
ISPF/TSO. Developed a process to accelerate training of new programmers to
analyze and fix applications with Year 2000 coding bugs.
Quality Assurance duties creating test plans and test cases in support of a
Billing System written in COBOL for a regional telecommunications company.
Tested billing system code with Winrunner software.
Designed and programmed a customer service support system for a Midwest regional
casualty insurance firm. With project team support, created new applications and
enhanced existing legacy COBOL programs on AS400 machines for the customer
service support system.
